Alex stood awkwardly at the front of the class, looking young enough and nervous enough that he could easily just be a lost student. He started passing out books, first to the weapons sitting in the front of the classroom, then to the rest of the class.

"W-well, I-I guess I'm supposed ta be your teacher or s-something.... I've n-never really taught before, so I guess l-let's start with the i-idea of programming. Ah, w-well, do any of you know anything about c-computer programming? I g-guess, if you don't, uh, j-just read the first chapter?"

[Dave is probably the best student ever. And by that, I mean he's the kid with his face on the table, completely passed out at the keyboard. The book is propped open in front of him, but it's so obvious he's not even awake.]

[Alex stands over Dave, ignoring him for a time, unsure of what to do. Finally he pokes Dave,] U-um, excuse me? C-can you p-please not sleep?

[It takes a minute or two for Dave to finally shift and sit up, yawning a bit. Why yes, Dave did go to sleep with sunglasses on his face. How nice of you to notice.

He looks at Alex, expression completely devoid of any actual emotions. The default Strider expression. Welp, he should have guessed sleeping in class wasn't going to fly.]

[Alex raises his eyebrow a bit, but ignores the sunglasses thing. He lays Dave's book flat, pointing to he part he told everyone to read.] Y-you should really b-be reading this... u-unless, w-well, do you a-already know much c-computer programming.

[He opens a notepad up on the screen, fiddling a bit with the settings.]

just different in what they taught
