It was no good, he had already tried. He tried again of course but just as he thought he had a word it dissapeared the minute he opened his mouth and he was left stuttering random sylables.

"The teacher said that this system translates automatically," he finally gave up and spoke in English, "so I'm not sure if it is that I've forgotten or if it doesn't let anyone speak more than one language." He didn't like the sound of that either, because English wasn't his language, if it was the case that it was only letting them speak one language he should be speaking Japanese.

He blinked at Kallen, "What language are you hearing, can you speak the other if you try?" His voice was intent, it was obvious that forgetting his language had upset him a lot.
