Characters: Mai Tokiha, anyone
Format: Prose/action
This log is: open
Location: Computer Labs
Summary: Mai learns another disadvantage of being a Discard...
Warnings: None so far
She's using the right password isn't she? And login?
She's double checked that. Triple checked that. Sure enough, it's what it was set as when she first came here. But the computers still refuse to let her log in. Something about not being authorized to access them.
Mail slumps over the desk, groaning. Is it too much to ask for a chance to email her parents to tell them she's doing okay? Or her brother -- why can't she remember his name?
This place is ridiculous. So much for that. She picks up her bag, preparing to get up from the computer, the latest error message still clearly displayed on the monitor.

"Huh? You don't know what a computer is?" she asked in response. Is she like Mikoto or something? Not that Mikoto has that long of hair...which Mai's eyes proceeded to follow down Rapunzel's back and to the floor, continuing on for as much of the length that is visible. She couldn't quite manage to say something more yet, but the dropped jaw and wide open eyes might be a hint of what was to come.

"Yeah I know, It's really long."

Sensing that the long-haired girl doesn't quite grasp what a computer is, Mai quickly changed subjects, trying to be helpful. "They're machines, for things like running programs, typing up papers, or connecting to the internet. Do they not exist where you come from?"

"We just had books and stuff. Nothing like any of this. This place is cool!" She squealed a bit in her enthusiasm, then leaned in to read the screen, "What's access denied? You can't get into the box?"

"And it's something like that. It's kind of like a key for it, but mine isn't working for some reason," she added. That should be simple enough to understand, right?
