On the other hand, if they had the power to displace all of Camelot, why only take the King and his manservant? Surely taking the knights as well would serve to weaken Camelot as well. Maybe they were hoping that without the King the Kingdom would fall. And of course that the asking needed attending to and would have a competent manservant. If only they knew.
