[ Dirk is surprised when he sees Dave signing, and before he realizes it he finds himself trying to copy the motions with his hands, to remember them so he'll know what Dave was saying once he finally learns this shit. But he can't keep up; he fumbles, and winds up going for the only sign language he does know. ]
