Summary: Alex is teaching another of his daily classes and figuring out that he's forgotten a number.

Alex stands in front of the class, awkward as usual. This is his 17th class, and he still was not comfortable in front of the class. He fumbled with the textbook, "Ah, u-um c-could you a-all go ta chapter 2? I m-mean 3. P-page 48." It actually started on page 49, but that's the facing page, so who's counting?

"So, uh, t-today's functions a-and abstractions. S-so, uh, s-see if you c-can find some sub-programs in the things we've d-done, and... uh, lemme know." While he let people look at things they've already written for sub-programs, he busied himself again with a program for the PDA he has started working on.

((OOC: if anyone is interested in where I'm getting his lessons, I'm using this course as a guide for the lessons... not that anyone has to get technical or read any of it.))

Alex laughs, "Well, I a-appreciate that. I-it might take a while." But kissing seemed a lot less scary now than it did those years ago. But it was still scary.

She squeezed him tightly, resting her head against his chest. "I don't care. I want to be with you. Even if it means waiting, even if it means doing everything slower than normal...that's not what I care about."

Alex hugs her back gently, "Y-you r-really would d-do that much f-fer me?" He pulled away enough to look at her, though he held onto her shoulders, "I-if you really d-don't mind, then, w-well, I'm glad."

She looked up into his eyes, smiling gratefully now. "I'd really do that for you. I couldn't imagine doing anything else. You mean that much to me."

Shion gave a tiny smile though he worried about Alex. "Well... be as careful as you can..."

Oh... Shion blinked, he had no idea... He knew absolutely nothing about this at all... He had never even guessed that Safu had liked him until she told him and he didn't know what it was supposed to be like...

"Well... I guess... you want to kiss them and stuff... and..." He is blushing so hard right now.

I will hand in work if needed.

"I always a-am," He looks a bit resigned, "B-but getting punished for it wouldn't b-bother me. I l-love it too much."

Alex goes red, fumbling for words and failing to come up with any. Even if he couldn't look at her face just that moment, but he was smiling ear to pink-tinted ear.

Alex goes red so that even his ears are flushed. "I-I dunno a-about k-kissing.... I-I mean, i-it's sorta nice wh-when she holds my hand..." He looks to the side, scratching the back of his head.

[Alex sighs,]

I suppose n-not learning to program's n-not the worst thing.

She just shifts to cuddle into him again, happy and relieved beyond measure. "This is perfect, Alex... I'm grateful..."

Words are still failing him and he just makes a sound that sounds something like 'me too,' but fails to actually be syllables. He hugs her again, resting his head against hers.

Right.

[she'll keep on clacking on the keys thought]

"It would bother me... I don't want you to get hurt... Neither would Becca, nor Dave or your other friends here." He looked at Alex seriously for a moment, hoping to show him how important this was.

At Alex's blush Shion blushed even more, "Yes... that as well... maybe you could tell her that..." Or maybe not, Shion had no idea...

"But wanting to kiss her... that would be clearer indication that you are attracted to her... as it would be an indication your hormones are reacting..." He cut off realising he was about to start babbling....

[Alex sighs,] C-can you at least stop texting? I-it's distracting.

Alex goes red at that, laughing nervously, "I g-guess! I always d-do my best ta avoid getting hurt though."

"Hormones!" Alex might not be as skilled with science as he was computers, but science was nice and easy to understand. I broke things down into less abstract pieces, and he always had fun with the science experiments they did in class at school.

"C-could they c-cause that weird f-feeling in my stomach, o-or something l-like that? C-cause it d-doesn't just happen when she touches me, and it's d-different from that w-wanting ta be sick feeling I u-usually get when someone touches me...."

[she puts the phone away and just stares straight ahead, unblinking.]

"I'm glad, they seem very good at hurting people here." The penalities, the fact they could bring pain just by willing it somehow. It made things more dangerous.

This was better, a little better. Science Shion could understand. "I guess that would be nerves, but also hormones yes, it's just like a chemical reaction... except with hormones which results in you feeling like that..."

[afraid_of_my_shadow]

Alex frowns at that, "At least you h-have ta do somethin' ta get hurt here."

[afraid_of_my_shadow]

Alex shuffles his feet a bit, "A-and... wh-when there's hormones, th-that means you l-love that person?" He rubs his arms, suddenly aware of just how bare they were without his jacket -- Becca still had it. He was pulling at his sleeves and trying to hide the scars there.

Shion frowned, "Or you get punished for other peoples mistakes..."

After all Dave had never broken a rule and got hurt on a weakly basis.
