Summary: Alex is teaching another of his daily classes and figuring out that he's forgotten a number.

Alex stands in front of the class, awkward as usual. This is his 17th class, and he still was not comfortable in front of the class. He fumbled with the textbook, "Ah, u-um c-could you a-all go ta chapter 2? I m-mean 3. P-page 48." It actually started on page 49, but that's the facing page, so who's counting?

"So, uh, t-today's functions a-and abstractions. S-so, uh, s-see if you c-can find some sub-programs in the things we've d-done, and... uh, lemme know." While he let people look at things they've already written for sub-programs, he busied himself again with a program for the PDA he has started working on.

((OOC: if anyone is interested in where I'm getting his lessons, I'm using this course as a guide for the lessons... not that anyone has to get technical or read any of it.))

Alex smiles down at her, "I d-do, a-as long as you're o-okay with everything. I w-wanted ta m-make sure you don't h-have any surprises from m-me that c-could hurt you." He kept stroking her hair, since it seemed to help her not cry has hard.

"I... I am," she promised, finally drying her tears and instead simply relaxing lovingly against him. "As long as I can be with you...we can manage any bumps along the way."

Alex smiles a bit more widely, hugging her to him, "I-if y-you're r-really okay, th-then I'm g-glad to g-give us a shot."

She wanted to kiss him. Which was, for Becca, a really new and strange feeling. She'd never really been attracted to anyone before (longstanding crush on a certain fictitious (in her world at least) sparklepire not counting), and finding herself flooded with feelings regarding Alex was as confusing as it was elating.

She sighed happily, content to suppress that urge for the moment. Kissing was too much right now, she didn't want to spook him right when they first started out and he'd already said that it spooked him once. So she just nuzzled into him, content with his willingness and their closeness.

He smiles, letting her cuddle him without complaint. He actually seemed to be enjoying it, but a kiss would definitely send him fleeing. "Ah... u-um, s-so what d-do people d-do when they're g-going out?" He really had no idea how relationships worked at all.

"Go out on dates to do stuff, like out to dinner or out to the movies...spend time with each other, get to know each other," she murmured, staying close to him affectionately. "We could even just go to the park to sit around," she offered quietly. "Just...spend time together..."

"W-well, that sounds fun!" He smiles, "I-it doesn't s-sound so different from being friends." Which made things a lot less uncomfortable.

"Well, there is...the kissing part," she said quietly. "But we can wait on that. Wait till you're ready for it," she promised. "Even if it's a long time, I don't mind...."

Alex laughs, "Well, I a-appreciate that. I-it might take a while." But kissing seemed a lot less scary now than it did those years ago. But it was still scary.

She squeezed him tightly, resting her head against his chest. "I don't care. I want to be with you. Even if it means waiting, even if it means doing everything slower than normal...that's not what I care about."

Alex hugs her back gently, "Y-you r-really would d-do that much f-fer me?" He pulled away enough to look at her, though he held onto her shoulders, "I-if you really d-don't mind, then, w-well, I'm glad."

She looked up into his eyes, smiling gratefully now. "I'd really do that for you. I couldn't imagine doing anything else. You mean that much to me."

Alex goes red, fumbling for words and failing to come up with any. Even if he couldn't look at her face just that moment, but he was smiling ear to pink-tinted ear.

She just shifts to cuddle into him again, happy and relieved beyond measure. "This is perfect, Alex... I'm grateful..."

Words are still failing him and he just makes a sound that sounds something like 'me too,' but fails to actually be syllables. He hugs her again, resting his head against hers.
