[Oh god it's one of those posts where Santana is smiling. This can only end well]

I've put it off for long enough but it's about time for me to start teaching a class. Technically I should have started it round 1 but [she waves a hand dismissively] since I'm 18 I don't really need to teach. Except all the other classes are really boring, I'm sure all you teachers will miss me dearly.

This is just a warning, get read to learn how to cheer, with a side of gymnastics, of course. I'll be sure to whip you all into shape, god knows you need it.

[she pauses for a moment to look around her room as she considers her next words]

Would anyone be interested in making a glee club? Can anyone besides me even sing?

[Well okay, but she is a little nervous. When she does sing though, it sounds a little like this ! She's definitely an alto or something.]

You definitely have potential, how often do you sing?

[she's a bit quieter, she has memories attached with this song]

I don't normally sing, but I'd be glad to start singing more? I also play piano if you need a pianist for anything!

[Oh did she touch a nerve without knowing? Oh sob.]

You need to strengthen your vocal cords, sing a bit every day at least. Do you have more practice on the piano than you do singing?

[they sang that back home once, she's just a bit homesick is all]

Poppop taught me when I was a little girl, so I certainly have more practice on a piano than I do singing.

[Smile.] Just find me a piano, and I'd be glad to play something.

[straightupzorra]

I'll talk to Recette about getting us some instruments, I'm sure she'd give them to me for free, or at least extremely discounted. [Santana and Recette are bros] You'll have to show me when we get one. Can you sing and play at the same time?

[She nods!]

That all sounds wonderful, and yes! I can sing and play at the same time.

Wonderful, a lot of people are incompetent and can't.

What do you like to sing?

[overbiterestart]

I'll sing just about anything you give me.

[Jane isn't terribly picky.]

Just because you'll sing anything doesn't mean you like everything, and if you like it then you're more invested and will do better. So I'll ask it again, what do you like to sing? Or listen to?

I listen to an awful lot of classical music. When I sing things I suppose I tend to go for more mellow songs, with the occasional upbeat one!

[straightupzorra]

See, was that so difficult? We gotta make the class so it plays up with the interests and strengths of all the students.

I'm sure with you as the teacher it's going to be great.

[Santana may be mean, but she seems pretty skilled at what she does!]

[she doesn't really know how to react to that]

Of course. I had heard rumors of you being quite nasty. But you don't seem that way to me.

[Jane always saw the good in people before the bad. It was one of the perks of being a realist and a skepticism master. Never believe anyone until you believe yourself.]

[straightupzorra]

Oh, I am that way.

No matter.

[Jane shrugs.] I've dealt with a lot worse.


[Jane will get back to the instrument talk.] What is the earliest you think we can have a Piano?

[straightupzorra]

I'll talk to Recette about it later today and then I'll let you know. Since a good piano probably needs to be ordered out, I'd assume we can start with the next train.

I'll go pick it up next time if you order it, where would you like it placed?

We need a mutual place, can't have Fortitude kids running all over Conquest's campus. I'll see if I can like rent a space in town, god knows I have enough raks.

I don't understand you quite yet. They say you're awful. Yet you're willing to do what it takes to bring a Glee club together? Sounds like you have a redeeming quality or two in you.

I'm just bored and gotta keep myself busy, you're all just aiding in my amusement.
