[Well, hopefully the turn out would be good and they all could finally make some sense of what was going on in their universe. Jake had finally been given some clues and the subject of his and Jade's universe and how they connected was something that had always been on his mind, but just out of his reach of understanding.

Hopefully now he could confirm some suspicions and they could all work towards being ready for things when they were all finally sent home.

So he'd arrived and pushed together two tables so that there was enough space for everyone to sit, and waited for the others to arrive.]

[Dave lets her cling to him, not really minding at all. He didn't know who knew what, but he definitely he knew plenty to cover whatever else no one else knew at least.

He keeps rubbing small circles on her arm, finding somewhere they can drag chairs from so they can sit together. If anything. Jade can say out loud what he can't say for him. That would be kind of helping right?]

[greenspaces]

[ She'd gladly do whatever he wanted, to be honest; she liked him enough that she would tell everyone whatever he needed to say. The circles help; she leans against his shoulder, whispering to him. ]

I'm really nervous.

[It would be easier for him at the very least. The art of arm flailing fails to be helpful if no one really understands him.

He traces letters into her palm.] 'Don't worry about it. You're a total boss. Bow down to your amazing boss powers.'

[greenspaces]

I'm not that boss.

[ But she blushes at him anyway, flattered by the compliment. Dave is so quick to make her feel better it is positively astounding. ]

[knightime]

[Dave just smiles at her lightly. Hopefully that's a good way of answering that she's a total boss.]

[greenspaces]

[ Well it does, but it also makes her blush like a crazy person in front of all of her friends, which makes her bury her head in his shoulder again. But at least this time she's smiling! That's good right? ]

You're silly.

[knightime]

'Your face.'

[Because Dave obviously is so mature and makes the most mature comebacks!

But he's glad to see her smiling even if she's also kind of embarrassed now.]

[greenspaces]

That's a horrible comeback. I can't even tell you your mom.

[ But it's still a smile, and a happy one. And it is even accompanied by some giggling. ]

'You'll just have to think of something especially clever.'

[He kind of bumps shoulders with her. Gosh. They're so mature.]

[greenspaces]

Your...ASL. [ That is the best clever comeback. Jade isn't good at comebacks, but at least she tried. ]

[knightime]

'I'm completely floored at how amazing that comeback was. You could say it shocked me into silence.' [Hahah, these are so bad.]

[greenspaces]

But you're always kind of quiet.... [ And it's completely lost on Jade WAIT FOR IT.... ]

Oh! I get it! [ And now she giggles. ]

[knightime]

[He'd facepalm if it weren't so incredibly endearing. Like, it's so endearing he can feel the cavities coming.]

'Sure did get you."

I wasn't fooled at all! . . .well, maybe a little bit.

'I totally got you. Admit it.'
