Location: Fortitude infirmary, Fortitude campus, Conquest campus
Summary: Merlin wakes up from his twelve day nap, he wanders round Fortitude, Dirk escorts him across the city to Conquest so he can find his Player.
Warnings: None so far

[Fortitude infirmary and campus] Merlin opened his eyes and looked around the room in confusion. This wasn't the room that he had been put in, a few moments later he recognised it as an infirmary. Even if it was a world away from the infirmary in Camelot he recognised the feel of it.

After speaking to the physician there he was allowed to go. He had slept four days, which apparently was common here... He had a mark on his hand, a sword. He knew that meant he was a Weapon to someone from Conquest, which meant Arthur was a Player again.

He walked round the campus looking a little confused, after all twelve days had passed and he had been asleep. That might be common here but it wasn't normal. He smiled at people though, though he didn't recognise most of them, he was still not used to everyone here.

[Conquest Campus] After thanking Dirk Merlin made his way into Conquest Campus, the mark on his hand allowed him to enter, since his Player was here. It was just a matter of finding him... He wandered round the courtyard before approaching people, "Excuse me... do you know where I would find..." Memory loss was an issue. "He's a king, likes to hit people with swords, total prat. He's one of the Players this round."

"If I put out a call for a new servant, people would be lining up to fill the position," Arthur says smugly. He doesn't say that some of them would probably be like, secret sorcerers or assassins who want to kill him. You get used to that really.

"What do you want rights for again?" He totally forgot, but giving Merlin some rights could be useful to him in the future.

"Doubt it." All of Arthur's attempts at replacing him before had failed horribly. Okay there hadn't been that many, Merlin didn't get fired half as often as he used to, but they still usually ended up being thieves or sorcerers.

Or thieves possessed by sorcerers...

"Well being able to leave the school would be useful if you don't want me trapped over the over side of the city."

You know what Merlin. Shut up. It's totally not his fault that everyone who wants to get close to him is a thief or a sorcerer or betrays him eventually or a combination of the three. If anyone asks, he thinks it's Merlin's fault, none of this happened before he showed up and saved his life. God Merlin, you're so inconsiderate!

Ahem, I mean.

Arthur strokes his chin as he considers what Merlin said, he doesn't bother to touch the you can't find another servant issue considering he knows that Merlin is dead wrong. Obviously.

"Yes, I could see how you being trapped on the other campus could be inconvenient for myself. Fine, right granted. Is there anything else?"

Merlin thought about it, but he didn't think Arthur would grant any of the other rights without calling Merlin lazy. So he shook his head. "I guess that's fine."

"You have no other wants while here, Merlin?" Arthur realizes that he said his name and now Merlin was going to zone out for a bit so when Merlin comes to he repeats the question.

"Honestly, we need you to remember your name, it's getting ridiculous."

Merlin did indeed blank for a moment, blinking and trying to regain the thread of the conversation. "Stop doing that."

He nodded, a memory charm would be very useful even if they were expensive.

"I'm not doing it on purpose! It's not my fault you're too daft to remember your own name. Or my name!"

"It's not my fault either!" Merlin frowned.

"I'm sure that somehow it is, I have no doubt in my mind."

Merlin pulled a face, "You would say that. Prat." The last was muttered under his breath.

Arthur claps Merlin on the back, "I'm going to have stocks built just to put you in them."

Another face, "You wouldn't."

He quirks his eyebrow at that, "Are you doubting me?"

"Never." Merlin raised an eyebrow back. "Why would I doubt the king."

"Yes, just forget his name."

"I told you that's not my fault!"

"No, I'm rather sure this whole thing is your fault. It usually is, and what with you having magic and everything, I'm even more sure."

At that Merlin shut up, the magic thing was still a sore subject even though this wasn't his fault. Or magics fault whatsoever as he now... didn't have magic...

Arthur doesn't say anything either, just bumps shoulders with him lightly in what he hopes is a comforting manor.

Merlin looks down but he gives a small smile.
