In the woods

It was a matter of some internal debate what Sherlock would do after finding his rooms. Options included: read the rulebook; explore the grounds; pick the locks on a dormitory door just to see if he could.

As tempting as he found the last option, he has put it aside for now, and can be found in the north end of the woods with his rulebook tucked under his arm. Occasionally, when he finds a nice spot to sit and read for a while, he does just that.

"He is more like a family member. I've known him all my life."

Molly started jumped up and down, "I want a robot sister!"

"Why not?" she pouted.

"Supposing you made one, she would be your responsibility."

"Nuh uh, robots can take care of themselves."

"Not always."

"Do too"

"I think you mean 'can too'," he says helpfully.

"Same difference," she sticks out her tongue.

"Very few people, robotic or otherwise, come into the world entirely self-sufficient."

"Yo." Some of Dave's diminutive thirteen-year-old cool has been banished by the Utopia Academy uniform now that he's put it on, but he refuses to lose the shades. His hands are in his pockets, rumpling up the vest. "So I'm gonna fight this Weinberg guy. He's like twice as tall as me or something but I can probably take him. You cool with that?"

"Duuuh, you gotta build them that way."

"Since I am inclined to agree with your assessment of the odds, yes. Have you read these?" He indicates the open book in his lap. "Fascinating material. Apparently I require your written permission to use any of the school facilities. It would be kind of you to provide it."

Sherlock, of course, has so far refused to touch the uniform. He is much more comfortable in one of Tony's cast-off jackets.

"I wish you well of it, then."

"But I don't know howta" she whined a bit, "Can you make one?"

"No."

Pout, "Why not?"

"I don't have the skill and I am not inclined to learn."

"Do you know someone who already knows how?"

"Yes, but he is not here."

"Seriously?" Dave stares down at the book. "Wow, okay. You got a pen?"
