Event: Sunday evening

The train finally came to a halt in which seemed to be the middle of no where. There was a small hut, but just like the train station in Rakuen there were no staff. Still the doors opened and out on the platform a woman stood. She looked stern and some might recognise her from the town; her dusky pink hair made her stand out in a crowd.

"Weapons please collect the equipment of your colour from the luggage compartment. One tent per team, one stove, one sleeping bag. If Players require their Weapons to have sleeping bags come and tell me, I have some extra in the store." She spoke in a tone that seemed used to being obeyed; a soldiers tone some might recognise it as.

After the equiptment was collected she set off up the hill expecting everyone to keep up. Astute campers will have noticed Dolorosa, Day, Nanami and Santana in the small crowd and so hopefully realise that escape was nothing but futile.

Of course if they still tried they would find they couldn't get very far, if they went too far in any direction or tried to follow the tracks they would pass out and reappear just a little behind the main group.

The camp site was just over the hill, a valley surrounded by hills, a river running through it. Their guide told them to make camp, Fortitude this side of the river, Conquest the other; there were stepping stones. "All Players are to report to me while Weapons pitch the tents."

She waited until the Players were gathered, "My name is Clara, I am your guide for your trip and I expect you to behave yourselves. As you have guessed we have a slightly separate set up, you have each been provided with a Weapon, in some cases two. There shall still be fights, training fights each morning in your camps and a fight in the evening which shall be interschool. Do your best; for as well as raks winning fights will get you more points."

There were no smiles but a pause for them to take in what she had said so far. "There will also be other activities, from climbing to walking to canoeing. I am sure you will all find something you excel in. Each of your Weapons has been provided with a ring, it cannot be removed until the end of the trip. Touching it with your gloved hand will invoke the penalty, though I trust you all not to abuse that power."

She looked over to the campsite and the activity there and raised her voice so she could be heard by those putting up tents. "All cooking is to be done by the Weapons, points will be given and subtracted for cooking skills, tents will be inspected every day. Weapons require permission to share their Players food, there are Weapon meals provided. If you wish your Weapon to stay in your tent they may but permission must be given." She looked like she couldn't work out why anyone would want that despite the grey skies and drizzle.

"Today you may get to know the camp site, there shall be no fight tonight but there is wood to be collected and if you collect enough we can have a large camp fire. Points shall be awarded for meals, Weapons are to come to me for ingredients."

With that she nodded and walked away, presumably to pitch her own tent. Have fun campers!

It had taken maybe 3 minutes for the fairy to get into trouble. The worst part was? Cirno was trying to get the tent out of the train and gotten stuck under it and the stove and no amount and flailing and pushing could she do to remove it from her.

This was was such a good start!

There were times when Yuka just didn't get this whole thing. Sure, she was developing a theory that explained -some- of the Weapon rules. But she wasn't even sure how to interpret the sleeping bag thing. Was it even supposed to be a reward or a punishment?

Of course, it might be a moot point for her, as her weapon was a cat. Would a cat want their own sleeping bag? For that matter...

She turned to look at Cheshire. "Unless you can turn into a humanoid form like most cats I know, we might have to get creative with this..."

Despite an interest in athletics, Juri had never been what one might call outdoorsy. She had never gone camping before; she much preferred to do her travelling in more civilized locales, with such luxuries as running water and actual beds.

Pitching a tent was, therefore, a bit outside her usual skill set, and she was hardly sure where to begin. She held the contraption of green synthetic fabric out in front of her with both hands and regarded it with some suspicion, as if it might try to eat her.

Becca got to work in silence. She didn't mind the way the staff treated her for being a weapon. It wasn't worth it to argue with them, and she had perfect faith that Alex would take care of her. When she heard that there were points for cooking, she had to laugh. She was a magnificent cook. This camping trip was going to be a breeze. The tent was hard to put up, but she managed it, then once it was finished, she got out her notebook and wrote down:

Request for extra sleeping bag. For weapon's use, permission given.
Weapon to sleep in tent. Permission given.
Weapon to share my meals. Permission given.

"Here, your loyal secretary has anticipated your needs and, if it pleases you to sign off on this, I shall go attend to it immediately, sir," she said to Alex in an overdramatic voice that soon had her reduced to giggles as she handed over the paper and pencil.

Sora took the instructions to get the equipment with somewhat puzzled equanimity. She wasn't really sure what was going on, but it wasn't that heavy, so it didn't bother her.

She rejoined Komachi while giving the sleeping bag an uncertain look. "Are we expected to share this?" It didn't really look big enough...

Quite possibly to the surprise of a certain other player, her weapon, and possibly even Shion's own surprise, Asagi immediately went over to the pink haired women, "My weapon will require a sleeping bag."

He knew the tone in her voice, and picked up his own military tone without realizing it. It was the same sort that is used to getting listened to, not that he actually remembered that time.

Suzaku went to collect a sleeping bag for Vane, it went without question that he would give the other boy all the rights he could. It was unfair and stupid. After all if they were to fight and do tasks it would be counter productive to have one of the team ill.

He listened to the briefing with a frown, but it was nothing worse than what he had come to expect from this place. He returned to the tent and looked at the progress. "Need help?"

Day put up her tent effortlessly. It was different than the ones they had occasionally used in Styria; and really Morveer preferred staying somewhere with walls. But this wasn't her first Rakuen camping trip.

Once she was done Day stood observing wondering whether to go help, she could but it was probably best they learned for themselves.

However she would go over if someone seemed to be really struggling; it wasn't completely out of kindness, she wanted Conquest to come out on top as she did with everything they did.
