Summary: Just waking up from his coma-nap, Arthur decides that he needs some exercise. He also realizes he is an owned weapon, this must be Merlin's fault.

[Arthur woke up from his coma not long ago, if Gaius were here he'd probably be ordered to have a bit more bed rest, but he's feeling antsy. He gets out of bed and heads over to the woods. By the state of his body he can tell that he's been out for a while and Arthur is not one to let himself get out of shape, no matter how often Merlin calls him fat.]

[It takes him a while to get back into his room and find his sword. He wonders how much time has gone by but doesn't let the thought trouble him for too long. Arthur picks up his sword and heads to the woods, nodding at those he passes. He probably should be teaching a class but he can't be bothered at the moment.]

Yes, I think this will do.

[He begins his stretching, his sword resting against a nearby tree.]

[Guess who is watching him from the trees. Yup it is his servant who still doesn't know their names.] So you decided to wake up? [Because he hasn't been hovering round Conquest's gates begging news off people or anything. Not at all.]

Arthur? [ Sora's thought process was startlingly similar to his, albeit she lacks a sword when she turns up. Who knows where she actually appears from, she just heard him... warming up... or something. She's only been out of her own coma for a few hours. ]

[Merlin may be watching from the trees but Arthur knows that he's there. Merlin is not very discreet. Because of that, Arthur isn't startled in the slightest when Merlin chooses to make their presence known.]

Merlin, I see you've survived without me, a small miracle really. How long have I been out?

[And know that he will find out that Merlin has been begging for information about him and call him a girl. Out of friendship.]

[Oh it's the small girl with super senses who thinks that she's a knight.]

Good morning, Sora. What brings you out here?

I was going to train. [ she looks around, and eventually points further into the forest ] There's a clearing over there... but someone planted flowers in it while I was asleep.

[ oh wait ] We should train together!

[he scoffs a bit, who would think to plant flowers in a perfectly good clearing. Didn't they know they needed clearings to train. Unless that was the plan all along, ruin training, damn they're clever.]

Train together?

[he considers it, if it's just training then he's not obligated to knock her out, and of course by now he's learned that females can often hold their own, although he'd never tell Morgana that]

Why not, but you should stretch first.

[ she obeys readily enough, shedding her school waistcoat and running through her basic gym-class stretches. ]

A few days. [Ignoring that first part because Merlin was perfectly capable of staying alive without Arthur... The other way round though...]

You missed all the important stuff of course.

[Rude, Arthur survived for twenty years before he met Merlin and all Merlin has done has made his life difficult and his chambers messier. And probably got them trapped here. It's definitely Merlin's fault.]

Well then, get on with it, tell me about these important things.

Stop. What are you doing?

[ :D........ ] Stretching.

No. You're not.

[shakes. head.]

Who ever taught you that should be shot.

[ ... but arthur I don't want to shoot my gym teacher. ]

A-ah?

[he's being shot.]

[MERLIN. GET THE CROSSBOW.]

Those are the worst stretches I've ever seen. They don't loosen you up at all. I see we're going to have to start from the bare basics.

[Wait.]

[When did he agree to this training again????]

[ right now apparently. ]

You'll show me? [ BRIGHTENS. LIKE. THE. SUN. ]

[The smile. IT BURNS.]

[And then Arthur started training a young girl. What even.]

Show me one of the stretches you would usually do and I'll tell you what to do instead.

Thanks a lot, Arthur. [ insert stretch here? ]

Stop. You could end up pulling a muscle in your back that way, it's a good way of getting out of training for a week and I assume that's not something you want.

[he proceeds to show her a better stretch]

[ you were a p.e. guru all along and SHE NEVER KNEW.

anyway, she emulates that stretch rapidly. Her face pretty much reads 'wow, really knight stretches that real knights use!' the whole time. ]

[Excuse you. He is not a p.e. teacher, he's a king dammit and it's his job to train the knights]

Okay, good. Show me another stretch.

[How he survived Merlin doesn't know because he hasn't been doing any kind of decent job of it since.] You know round change, your lucky I found us a Player, so you wont have to eat that food they try and push on discards. I know you can't cope with anything less than a feast every night.

[No, he does not know Komachi. Or maybe he does. Why bothering learning their names, Merlin doesn't even know his own name.]
