On the grounds

Molly is younger than a lot of the other students (but not young enough to be left out of things, just so you know) and is a bit more excited than the others. While going to school isn't as thrilling as being somewhere completely new and awesome, she's enjoying herself none the less. Besides, she figures it's only a matter of time before she gets rescued by her friends and go back to fighting crime.

For now, this game seems kind of cool and she gets to play it! She was chosen over her friends and the older students so HA! Take that! She figures she'll go defeat some bad guys, because some bad guys need to be here, right?

Not one to understand the severity of being taken somewhere to play some kind of game, Molly is generally enjoying herself and running around the grounds trying to find anything cool.

"Using a map makes it not fun! We need to explore by ourselves!" She said proudly before examining his hand, "did you draw on yourself with marker?"

"...oh." He likes maps, though.

"Huh? No... That wasn't there before." He folds the map up and puts it away, and then rubs at the mark with his other hand. It doesn't even smudge; he might be getting a little worried now. "It--it doesn't hurt, but--"

No Fletcher, maps are dumb. Molly has much to teach you, like getting lost is half of the fun.

"Maybe it's a stamp from the train!" She starts looking at her hands and arms for her own stamp but finds nothing.

"But it definitely wasn't there before!" His voice is getting more high-pitched; it's higher than hers by now. "What-- what if it means something bad?! I should go find a nurse or--or something--!"

Fletcher Tringham: Always the worrywart.

"Okay! Let's go find a doctor with good soap." She takes his hand again and leads him in a random direction.

All this being dragged around by a random stranger, even if she is a kid his age, is unnerving. But Fletcher is a doormat, and so he follows.

Molly wouldn't notice even if he was putting up a fight, but he's not so she just keeps leading. Not that she knows where she's going.

Hey, who cares? This is sort of like an adventure, right? Although it should be noted that they are headed further into the woods.

"Um... do you know how to fight really well?" he asks her. Since she's planning to win...

"Ya huh! I'ma superhero, I defeated bad guys."

[greennotgold]

"Superhero? Like in comic books? Are you an alchemist?" That's the only thing that makes sense to him, naturally.

[princesspowerful]

"Yeah! Like comic books!" she jumps a bit as she says this, obviously excited.

"What's a alche-thing?"

[greennotgold]

"Um..." He blinks. "D-did you forget about alchemy, too?"

It doesn't even occur to him that the people here might be from other worlds.

[princesspowerful]

She blinks at him, "MAYBE! WHAT IS IT?"

[greennotgold]

"It's a science! It's the discipline of understanding, breaking down, and reconstructing matter," he explains. He's got the textbook definition down pat. "I've seen people use it to fight before by making weapons and stuff..."

[princesspowerful]

"Uhh. I can hit really hard!" Yup, she has no idea what he's talking about so that's all she can offer him.

[greennotgold]

"Oh. Well, um, maybe you can do both..." He doesn't get how someone their age could hope to fight crime without alchemy. "I don't know..."

[princesspowerful]

"Maybe mutants can't do your magic thing" she nods wisely.

[greennotgold]

"It's not magic! It's--" He cuts himself off. "M-mutants?"

[princesspowerful]

She lets out an exasperated sigh, "Duuuh haven't you ever heard of mutants? Or the X-Men?"

[greennotgold]

"...no," he replies. There's not even a hint of recognition in his mind. That couldn't be something else he forgot, could it? "I mean, I've heard of genetic mutations, but..."

[princesspowerful]

"Yeah that!" She says, pointing at him as he says it, "It gives people powers!"

[greennotgold]

"Powers?!" Thaaaat can't be right, not at all. That sounds impossible. "What, what kind of powers?"

...maybe powers like using alchemy without transmutation circles? Could that explain why Edward...

[princesspowerful]

"Like super strength and mind reading and healing and lifting things with minds and laser beams out your eyes and teleporting and everything ever!"

[greennotgold]

He just kind of stares. That sounds like a comic book, all right, but there's no way that can be real.

Right?

"Um... really?"

[princesspowerful]

"REALLY!" She was jumping up and down, always filled with energy, "Wanna see!!? I have super strength!!"
