Summary: Fletcher got back his brother's name. He is filled with glee.

There's a bounce in Fletcher's step that wasn't there the day before. He's in the courtyard, for once not heading anywhere in particular but just looking around. He's happier than he has been up until now, so he's finally noticing just how nice this campus is. The buildings are actually kind of pretty, and the plant life is all so well-kept.

He still isn't pleased with having been kidnapped and dragged here, but right now things are looking up.

As he's making his way around the courtyard, he might just catch sight of someone else. If it's someone he knows, he'll probably wave to them and call out; if not, well, he'll still peer at them curiously. Say hi?

Machines that could pick up signals and play sounds? "Play sounds?" He asked, he guessed they were like the magic screens without the pictures; they had those in Armestris? Science he knew, well Doctor Casella had mentioned it, Romeo didn't really understand what it was, but he knew that being a doctor had something to do with science.

"Automobiles?" Another word Romeo didn't know. He shook his head, "There's so much I don't know! Alfredo would know, he would have known these words, he read lots of books," he sighed. "You know so much Fletcher! You must be really clever!"

Of course geography wasn't his strong point, but you couldn't be good at everything and Fletcher was really knowledgeable about this technology.

Had Romeo lost that many memories? Or was something else going on here? Fletcher just couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"I... I'm not really very clever..." He looked down shyly. "Ah, who's Alfredo? Is he a friend?"

"But you know all these words!" He sensed the shyness and gave Fletcher another grin.

Then his grin grew larger but a little bit sad, "Alfredo is my best friend! He was so clever and read so many books! But he's in heaven now," that was the sad part because Romeo missed him a lot.

"...oh..." Fletcher got quiet and didn't look up. That was... a little awkward.

"Um... I, I'm sorry."

Romeo tilted his head, Fletcher had gotten very quiet and Romeo thought it was his fault and gave a reassuring smile. "It's all right, Alfredo is still with me, I am continuing his dream for him and he will be with me always because we vowed that..."

He frowned, was quiet for a moment and then his eyes widened. "I forgot it! I forgot the vow!" He looked distressed, how could he forget something as important as his vow of eternal friendship.

Fletcher's eyes went wide and he covered his mouth. "Oh no! You-- you can't remember?" That was a horrible thing to forget.

Romeo shook his head, he felt like he wanted to cry, he had made a solumn vow and now he couldn't even remember the words. Did that mean he had broken it? How could he keep a vow he couldn't even remember?

Romeo shook his head, Fletcher looked upset as well and that wasn't good. He shouldn't upset people and even though he had forgotten the vow he hadn't remembered the other things Alfredo had taught him.

"We can't get upset about it! I will just have to work extra hard and earn that memory back. It's like Bianca and Alfredo always say, there’s only one day like today in your entire life. When all else fails keep living." He gave another smile.

"You should always keep your spirits up," without warning Romeo grabbed Fletcher's hand and raised it to the sky with his. "This is what you do to keep your spirits up!"

Romeo's optimism was almost infectious. Fletcher smiled slightly, and nodded, looking up at their joined hands.

"Right! We'll all get all our memories back... so we shouldn't get sad!"

Romeo nodded, "Right! We should promise to help each other get our memories back!" He looked up at their joined hands and put his spare hand as a fist to his heart. "If I get some more tokens I will buy you a memory charm. I swear!" He had three, so he needed two more and then he would be able to help Fletcher.

"And... and I'll get you one, too!" After all the other people he'd promised to buy them for, anyway... Russel, Euphie, Edward, Lyra... jeez, he couldn't even keep them all straight anymore. He formed his free hand into a fist and pumped it just slightly.

Romeo smiled a big smile, he was so glad he had made a friend here. "I am glad I met you Fletcher!"
