Biology homework [Open]
Characters: Suzaku and peopleSuzaku sat in the corner of the downstairs common room in the Black dorm building. Spread out in front of him was a couple of textbooks and a lot of paper. He frowned, he had never found biology easy but this! He hadn't even seen half of these plants before in his life and was starting to suspect they didn't even exist in his world.
Format: I'm writing prose but you can write whatever you feel like
This log is: open
Location: Black floor 1 common room
Summary: Suzakufails atattempts biology homework
Warnings: None
Other worlds, the idea was terrifying when Suzaku stopped long enough to think about it, other worlds with other animals and other plants from what he knew. He blinked at the question again, he had no idea; he sighed heavily and read through the textbook again.

"Not if rules get in the way," he pointed out, as he clambered onto the seat next to Suzaku. Once he was suitably perched, he fished the second half of his apple out of his pocket, brushed the fluff off it, and resumed eating. "What's a seal-turtle, anyway?"

He looked back at Kotarou at the question; a distraction was good. Suzaku couldn't really concentrate on the homework and he doubted that Kotarou knew the sword or any weapon at all. He would end up being a player at some point and the more he knew how to defend himself the less he was going to get hurt.
"Alright," he stood up and gathered up the books, "Let me put these back in the room first."

There, that was better. It didn't stop him scrambling off the chair and hovering around Suzaku like an anxious cat as he gathered up his work. He even picked up a few sheets of paper.

It was raining but it wouldn't matter, Kotarou lived outside anyways. "Why the sword? There's lots of weapons here, you could learn any of them." A smaller one for instance, a average size sword would be taller that Kotarou.

"Who's Nanashi?" He asked as they got into the clearing and he started searching for a Kotarou sized stick. They would have to practice with proper practice swords eventually but for the moment the boy could get used to the movement with something he wasn't going to trip over.

"So did this Nanashi teach you anything of the sword himself?"
no subject
"Nothing at all," he sounded put out about that, "He was going to, but then I got brought here."

"I know how to run away," he said, in case that wasn't clear. "How do I attack?"
no subject
He held the sword above his head and then stepped forward bringing the sword down in front of him. "That's a basic attack, try it, try and attack me," of course the attack was meant to be aimed at an oponents head and Kotarou would be aiming more for the waist but it would still work.

"Haa!" He swung the stick as hard as he could at the older boy.

"Attack again," this time Suzaku would block to show Kotarou how that was done.
no subject
But, whatever. Hitting again. He lifted the stick, and swung, a little less violently than the first time.

"Hah!"

"Now your turn, I'll go slow," he went into the stance he had shown Kotarou and stepped forward slowly bringing his sword downwards, he was ready to pull back if the kid froze and it was aimed more for his shoulder than anywhere just in case.

"Ready," he moved forwards again with the same strike, a little slower this time.

"I need a better stick."
