Suzaku sat in the corner of the downstairs common room in the Black dorm building. Spread out in front of him was a couple of textbooks and a lot of paper. He frowned, he had never found biology easy but this! He hadn't even seen half of these plants before in his life and was starting to suspect they didn't even exist in his world.

Other worlds, the idea was terrifying when Suzaku stopped long enough to think about it, other worlds with other animals and other plants from what he knew. He blinked at the question again, he had no idea; he sighed heavily and read through the textbook again.

Suzaku nodded but was still confused, "But surely the government know about it and would want to use them in wars?" After all what was new technology for if not to help the war effort, even if there were no wars where Yuka came from surely if her government had created technology like these hero belts they would use them to take over other countries.

[brokencrane]

She blinked. "I'm pretty sure they don't know about them...and there's only a couple of them, so I don't think they'd be very useful in a war anyway."

Suzaku nodded his eyes narrowing, something as powerful as that in the hands of people who wern't the government. That seemed very much like terrorism to Suzaku but he kept his mouth shut, it was not his world he knew nothing about it.

"Does your world not have Knightmare Frames then?" Because surely a human, even if they were wearing a belt could not go up against a Knightmare Frame. Mei had never heard of them so Suzaku wondered if they were unique to his own world, maybe without Britannia no other world needed them.

[brokencrane]

You should hear about Smart Brain, Suzaku, they're even worse. "Knightmare Frames? No, I've never heard of those..."

[swordofzero]

Suzaku hadn't really expected her to, after all those belt things wouldn't work if there were Knightmare's to go up against. "They are giant robot machines that people drive. They are powered on Sakuradite."

Suzaku frowned, how did you drive a knightmare frame anyways? He couldn't seem to remember, he tried to visualise the Lancelot's controls and his head filled with fog.

[brokencrane]

Huh. Well, giant robot machines didn't sound that much more farfetched than the belts, really. "So you fight with those in your world, then?"

[swordofzero]

Suzaku nodded, "They are a Britannian weapon, but have been developed by terrorist groups as well especially in Jap..." He caught himself, "Area..." He caught himself again realising who he was talking to, "Japan." It was Japan now anyways, Lelouch's reign had ended Britannian society and soon, if their plan worked the idea of countries been called by numbered areas would be a distant bad memory.

If their plan worked, with both of them, and Lloyd and Cecile and most the other people they knew in this world and not their own what was the chance of that. Schneizel had probably won by now, the world was probably subdued under Damocles.

No he had to keep positive, he was still talking to Yuka. "I was just wondering, I don't think many other worlds have them. So these belts, how do they turn you into hero? Do they make you stronger?"

Terrorist or not Yuka was a good distraction from biology.

Yuka frowned. Developed by terrorist groups in Japan? Why would Japan need to develop terrorist weapons...? Suzaku-san's world really must be odd.

"Oh, yes, they make you a lot stronger. And you need them to defeat Orphenochs-- er, the bad people from Smart Brain, because normal humans can't hurt them."

[swordofzero]

Suzaku blinked, "Smart brain?" Was that an organisation? She had called them bad people, bad people who normal people couldn't hurt... That didn't really fit with her claim that her world did not have wars and was peaceful.

[brokencrane]

"That's what the company is called... I'm not sure what the regular hum-- um, people, think that they do, but they lead the bad Orphenochs..."

[swordofzero]

"Bad Orphenochs?" Yuka's world was starting to sound less and less like the peaceful world she had made it out to be before.

[brokencrane]

Oops. Somehow she ended up talking about them anyway. How to explain this, he hadn't said anything about his world having non-humans... "Um...well, Orphenochs are different from humans. And the ones in Smart Brain are bad and attack humans."

"Different than human's?" Suzaku frowned, he did not understand what she meant, "how so?"

[brokencrane]

"They're..." she frowned, trying to think how to explain it, "they're a different species, I guess? But they have human forms, so they still look human most of the time. But in Orphenoch form they're a lot stronger."

[swordofzero]

A different species? That was strange, a different species that had human forms but were a lot stronger. "How can you tell who is a human and who is an Orphenoch?" He asked and then frowned, she had said 'bad' orphenoch's, "So are all these Orphenoch's bad?"

[brokencrane]

"You can't tell, unless they transform into Orphenoch form. They look just like everyone else the rest of the time."

Oh, no, she couldn't let him think they were all bad! "N-No! It's just the ones that work for Smart Brain that are bad. Some of them just want to live with the humans in peace."

[swordofzero]

"Oh," that made sense, it was silly to think a whole species was bad. But not knowing who they were when they looked like humans would make things a little complicated. "If the bad ones can hide among humans isn't there lots of murders?" She had said that her world had no wars, but if there were pretend human creatures working for a bad company and killing people in the streets, that sounded just as bad as a war betweeen countries.

[brokencrane]

"Well...yes." That was Smart Brain's plan, after all, to kill as many humans as possible. "But that's why some people are using the belts, to try to stop them."

[swordofzero]

Suzaku nodded, it sounded complicated and dangerous and it was still suspicious that the government knew nothing about the belts, because they must have known about Smart Brain and the Orphenoch's. "So do you use those belts?" After all she had said not many people knew about them but she did.

[brokencrane]

"Oh, no, I didn't use them. But one of my friends has been for a little while." And if you were an Orphenoch it was hard to avoid running into the Riders sometimes, but she wasn't going to mention that part.

[swordofzero]

"Ah alright," he gave another polite smile and fell silent again unsure about what else to say. Yuka's world sounded very interesting but Suzaku did not want to pry too much unless he offended or upset her.
