You have to prepare for a fight

Location: Dining hall (before, during, and after)
Summary: After training with Huashi and Kotarou, Kallen decides it's a good idea to eat. Although uh... she decides to pick up a sandwich and can't remember how to eat it.
Warnings: N/A

It's just been a long... a very long day for Kallen. First, she was announced as a Player, then Gino almost damn near passed out on her, and for the finish, training with Huashi mainly so she could get used to the girl's weapon. Kallen had some time ahead of her so she wanted to be prepared. The next day she would spend some time watching some of the other fights.

Kallen looked up at the sky and the sun was fading into the background. She made the decision to head to the dining hall to grab something to eat. She made a mindless choice and picked up a sandwich. Sitting down at a near by table, she stared at her plate and at her food.

Just how was she supposed to eat this?

I mean, little pieces. Because if what you've forgotten is how to eat a sandwich, maybe it'll work if you don't eat it like a sandwich?

Right! [smiles a little] I don't know if it would work, really, but you could try it...

[Kallen nods, goes off to find a knife and a fork before sitting back down. A cutting she goes.]

[Okay, the pieces are small enough... maybe this will work. Stab and nom... This feels unholy....]

[it does look a little weird...b-but it's better than not eating?]

[She puts the utensils down.]

I can't. It doesn't feel right...

[orz] M-Maybe you should just not each sandwiches for while.

Sounds like a good idea. [She gets up and returns with a salad for now.]

[She sits across from the other girl] Not your fault. It was a good suggestion.

[saying this will not stop her from irrationally feeling a bit bad anyway.]

[...and she is now out of conversation topics. ummmm.] Have you been here a while?

Yeah.. over a month now.

[brokencrane]

[starts and looks at her in surprise] A whole month?! I've only been here a week...

There was this... I guess I can call it a 'beta'. Like a pre-experiment to this whole... place. I was a part of that.

[brokencrane]

Oh, I see... [that...sounds weird. though this whole place is weird, really, so she supposes that makes sense enough.]

[hm, if she's been here that long, maybe she knows about fights?] Have you been a Player before?

My first time actually. [oh right.] They used my other last name... Stadtfeld.

[brokencrane]

[Stadtfeld...Yuka didn't actually remember seeing that name on the list, but it was hard to remember all the foreign names. it wasn't the person she had to fight, she knew that much.] Oh...I'm also a Player this time. I hope I don't have to fight you...

I really hope we don't either. To be honest, well, I really don't want to fight people just to get my memories back. It doesn't seem right or fair. [When she mentioned the board, Kallen remember seeing Yuka's name, but it was in the other tier.]

No, it doesn't... A-And I don't really know how to fight anyway, so I'll probably lose...

I don't think you should look at it that way. If I remember, you'll start fighting tomorrow. Just glance through the manual and the basics.
