Koharu had a dozen little things cooking. Little chicken legs are browning, slices of cheese and ham cut into little shapes. Green beans and little baby carrots were simmering and little broccoli florets were cut up already.

"I wonder if Sora or Yuki would like edamame." She tapped her lips with her finger, contemplating and then discarding. The chicken was already enough protein and then she could put little tomato flowers in as well.

Romeo wandered into the White Dorm kitchen looking for Miss Sora. He would have thought that sharing a room with her would mean she was easier to find. But Miss Sora was never in her own room, she even got up before Romeo did most days. She had so many friends that if Romeo wanted to find her he had to go into all the buildings in the whole school.

The smell coming from the kitchen made Romeo feel hungry, which was silly because he had only had lunch a couple of hours ago. Being in this school and having all the food he could eat was making him greedy. He would have left the kitchen straight away, because he had something really important to ask miss Sora, but he recognised the girl who was cooking. It was one of Miss Sora's princesses!

"Hello Miss Koharu!" He thought it was Koharu anyways, Miss Sora had a lot of princesses and though she had pointed them out to him and told him their names Romeo sometimes forgot or got them mixed up. "What are you doing?" He came up to the counter, he was just tall enough for his eyes to be level with it.

Koharu looked down at the newcomer, smiling in welcome. Company in the kitchen never bothered her, the more the merrier right? And he was far too young to be anything but a cute little companion on her kitchen adventure.

"I'm making lunch for Sora, Yuki, and I. See, we have chicken, rice, some vegetables cooking there, ham and cheese for the decorations, some little tomato flowers, maybe some eggs if I think I need the space filled. Maybe furikake if it all seems a bit bland but it should be fine--" She stopped her train of thought and smiled sheepishly, not sure what to say.

For miss Sora? That would mean she would be here soon! Romeo watched in fascination, there was so much food and it was all so pretty! Romeo had never seen food made like this before, granted at home there had never been that much food to cook and in Milano the kitchen had been off limits to him because Miss Eda said that he would take more than his fair share and eat them out of house and home.

Like he would! But still even the food Miss Eda had cooked did not look like this! Nor did the food that they were given from the school, it was tasty but not in shapes like this! "Do you always make food look so pretty?" Surely they were just going to eat it!

Koharu nodded, making a little flower of cheese and handing to him. Then she got an idea and pulled out the small snack bento box she'd gotten as well. She had a whole variety now of course. Then she put rice in one half and laid down a bed of carrots in one side.

"If it's prettier, it's more appealing and fun. It's a japanese style of lunches. I just enjoy it. It's fun." She cut an egg chick carefully, placing that in there as well and tucked some tomato flowers in beside it. A few cheese flowers on the vegetables and a few hame flowers on the rice and then she presented it to Romeo.

"Here you go."

Romeo blinked at the flower of cheese, was he allowed to eat it? It looked so prettty he wasn't sure he wanted and why would Koharu be giving him food to eat anyways. She probably just wanted him to hold it for her. He did so, holding it in his hand what he put carefully on the counter so not to squish the pretty flower.

"Japanese? Japan's a long way away!" Romeo could remember it from the globe Doctor Casella had shown him. It was all the way over on the other side of the world!

He watched as Miss Koharu made another box of food, amazed at how good it looked. When she handed it to him he blinked... what? Why was she handing him a box of food?

Oh! She wanted him to deliver it for her right? "Who do you want me to give it to, miss?"

"Where are you from?" She hadn't asked or anything, though Romeo was a name from a famous story...but that hardly meant anything.

"Oh no, it's for you! If you want it..."

"The Alps! Well and I've been to Milano, miss!" He grinned, he knew sort of that he wasn't in Italy anymore, well not anywhere near north Italy, and there were poeple from lots of different places but he couldn't be that far away! Because he definatly couldn't remember going on a boat or anything!

He blinked, "Oh..." Why was she giving him food... This school gave them food a lot anyways and now this girl was giving him a whole box of food! That she had made so pretty looking!

"Are you sure..." Because surely she didn't want to give him all this food, maybe it was a trick and if he ate it she would accuse him of stealing her food...

He bit his lip, no Miss Koharu didn't seem like that... But... "It's a lot of food, are you sure... don't you want it?"

"Oh, Milano? In Italy? Ah that makes sense I suppose." If he liked Italian food she could think of a few things to put in a bento for him then. Other things at least. She'd learned how to make nests of noodles that he'd probably like--

"No it's for you. I have others for everyone else. Do you like it?"

Romeo nodded, and his eyes widened when she told him the food was for him! With a big smile of thanks he began eating slowly, feeling a little bad about destroying the pretty pictures she had made. But it was so delicious!

"It is so nice!" He gave another huge smile as he ate the egg chick. "Thank you so much miss Koharu!" His eyes were shining, Miss Koharu was so nice!

"Oh it's nothing, I already had all the things out and everything. It's not a big deal." Koharu looked sheepish at the praise but smiled. It was the best thing to see people enjoy her cooking after all.

"I'm glad you like it."

But it was a big deal, because usually Romeo was used to people withholding food from him, or feeding him begrugingly. The fact that Koharu had given him so much food, when he hadn't even worked for it was a little strange. Romeo made a promise to himself that whenever Miss Koharu needed anything he would make sure to help her as best he could!

"It's the most delicious thing I've ever tasted!" He wasn't lying!

"T-Thank you. I'm so glad. Um--I make them everyday for lunches, would you like me to make you one as well?" She eyed the bento, it was too small for lunches with Sora and Yuki, but it might be big enough for Romeo. If she filled it tightly everyday at least.

Romeo's smile got even bigger! "Really?" That was a lot of work for Koharu though, and there wasn't really anything he could do in return for her.

"Are you sure? But... I don't know what to do for you in return..." It wasn't like she had a house with chimneys that he could sweep, "Er... I'm good at cleaning things...I could clean all these pots for you!"
