Confusion (Open)

Dahlia was confused.

Now that she was a "Player" she was able to use the booths, so she'd gone and bought two Memory Charms in hopes of regaining some of what she'd lost. But now here she was, sitting on a bench in the courtyard, wearing both charms... and nothing had changed. She shook her wrist in frustration, as though that would fix anything... Naturally, it didn't.

Someone bother her.

"Oh! I wonder..." Pulling the charms from her pocket, she looked down at them nervously. What if she just took them and ran? That's what Dahlia would have done if she (a) were in the same situation and (b) didn't have appearances to keep up. But she had to take the chance; if she just kept them, they still wouldn't work.

The two charms jangled against each other as Dahlia held the bracelet out toward the strange-looking (cosplaying?) girl. As soon as Kanaya took them, however, she would find two of her own memories restored.

Kanaya reached out and took the bracelet. Suddenly the last names of her friends and something about sarcasm and how humans like to say the opposite of what they really mean. She forgot how weird they were. What startled her the most was the fact she didn't realize she had forgotten any of that, and that when she gave the charms back she would forget them again. Stealing the charms didn't cross her mind. Kanaya only held on to them for a few seconds, enough for the memories to sink in, before handing them back to Dahlia.

"Thank you," Dahlia said as she took the bracelet and put it back on; then she frowned. "It still doesn't seem to be working..."

"I apologize for the failure, but it was a possible outcome that you must have been aware of," Kanaya says as her way of comfort.
