Theta nodded weakly, looking over the woman for the first time as she took a hold of her cane. She was much more stable with it, and her hammering heart started to slow down, almost as if the cane filled a secondary purpose as a comfort item.

"It's quite all right, I'm sure it was unintentional," she answered, trying to be conversational but unaware of how snippy she inadvertently sounded. "Is this a favourite section of yours, I take it?"
