Kallen wanted to go back to the dorm right after class. Problem was she hadn't eaten all day. She was on edge, watching someone's actions. It was like nothing from the Academy changed, except their setting arrangement. There was no way Lelouch could be alive, but she found herself in class, staring at him in disbelief. She was glad none of the teachers called on him because if she heard his voice... well Kallen had no idea what she would actually do.

She stopped by the dining hall. It was late (considering most people weren't going to dinner at this time) so thankfully there weren't many people. So she ordered some food, picked it up, and made her way to an empty table. She could block out the idle chatter so she could get some studying in. Sandwich in hand, she nibbled on it while rereading her notes.

So how these buildings are here... they're nothing like your Japan?

Look, there's a reason why I'm asking you this. In my Japan, the buildings look like this. The ones you're describing, I've read in history books.

[She takes a pencil out of her bag and flips to the back of one of her notebook, opening to a blank page. She quickly sketches out a home that would resemble what he was speaking of.]

Yours look like that, right? [She turns the page around to him so he can see it.]

Yeah, kinda. [tilts his head a little, determined to find some kind of fault with the drawing] The walls are straighter.

Well it was a quick sketch. I'm no artist, this is the best I can do.

[ha, it worked. He's not even sure why he's trying to annoy her anymore, other than as revenge for her intimidating him.] I guess.

[that gets her a moment of open-mouthed surprise, before he laughs, sheepish. Any childish tension drains from the moment.] You too.

Eight. [he doesn't sound sure. To cover it:] How old are you?

[FACEPALM. Not at you, but at this damn place. Molly's ...almost thirteen? Something like that. This boy is eight years old. WHY DRAG HIM INTO THIS? This wasn't fair. Not to any of them.]

Really? [she looks younger. Not that he's ever really thought about a woman's age, but still.]

Huh. [the bread and fish fingers are getting a little crushed. One of the fingers falls to the floor, decidedly the worse-for-wear. He glances down at it, then makes a basket of his shirt hem and drops the rest in before he crouches down to retrieve the mess. It looks like it's still edible; he adds it to the rest.]

Here. [She takes her plates off the tray and pushes it over to him. Just from observing, she can probably deduct what type of life he's lived.]
