Kallen wanted to go back to the dorm right after class. Problem was she hadn't eaten all day. She was on edge, watching someone's actions. It was like nothing from the Academy changed, except their setting arrangement. There was no way Lelouch could be alive, but she found herself in class, staring at him in disbelief. She was glad none of the teachers called on him because if she heard his voice... well Kallen had no idea what she would actually do.

She stopped by the dining hall. It was late (considering most people weren't going to dinner at this time) so thankfully there weren't many people. So she ordered some food, picked it up, and made her way to an empty table. She could block out the idle chatter so she could get some studying in. Sandwich in hand, she nibbled on it while rereading her notes.

[he eyes her sidelong, then - frowning in concentration - takes a relatively intact slice of bread, puts some of the mush that used to be fish fingers on top of it, then folds it over. There. That must be how nobles eat their meals.]

You're Japanese, right? How come you have red hair?

[She's about to take another bite when she stops. It's not often she talks about her heritage and in most cases, she wants to avoid talking about it all together.]

Does it really seem that strange?

[he knows there's something important about it, but... his face scrunches up as he tries his hardest to remember what, then relaxes into a defeated expression when he can't.]

It's not strange... but foreigners have red hair. Right?

Yeah, I guess. [Even though the fighting is done and over, doesn't mean she's proud to be a Britiannian. She fought for the Japanese and still identifies herself as such.]

[Her tone is giving off the 'don't press the issue' vibe.]
