[Okay this rights thing? Complete and total bull shit. It hadn't bothered her at first, because she didn't care what kind of food she was eating because it was all human food. But when she tries to go to the library and is turned away because she doesn't have permission? Fuck that. It had taken almost all of her resistance to not curb stomp the person that had denied her entrance. She's trying to be less of a terrible person. [After getting Dave's permission, she's holed herself up in the library with a stack of books on what she hopes is the right thing. She has absolutely no idea what she's looking for, honestly. She's pretty sure half the books she's grabbed are useless. Well, whatever. She'll check them out anyway. She just refuses to ask Dave or John to teach her this whole sign language business.
