>Vriska: Go to the library.
Characters: Vriska Serket and Dave Strider [AU] and then Vriska Serket and you![Black 2-A - Closed to Dave]
Format: Action
This log is: Open
Location: Black 2-A and then the libary
Summary: Vriska has to ask permission to go to the library, but once she gets there she's looking for books. Feel free to bother her!
Warnings: Language, Vriska being a bitch?
[Okay this rights thing? Complete and total bull shit. It hadn't bothered her at first, because she didn't care what kind of food she was eating because it was all human food. But when she tries to go to the library and is turned away because she doesn't have permission? Fuck that. It had taken almost all of her resistance to not curb stomp the person that had denied her entrance. She's trying to be less of a terrible person. So instead she'd stormed back to rap on Dave's door loudly and undoubtedly obnoxiously.]
[Library - Open to All]
[After getting Dave's permission, she's holed herself up in the library with a stack of books on what she hopes is the right thing. She has absolutely no idea what she's looking for, honestly. She's pretty sure half the books she's grabbed are useless. Well, whatever. She'll check them out anyway. She just refuses to ask Dave or John to teach her this whole sign language business. Especially after John had assumed she wouldn't want to learn it. The nerve.
Okay, this book is useless. She tosses it to the side, onto another pile of books that haven't been helpful at all. Ugh, this is annoying. She picks up another book, flipping it open and burying her face in it.]

Of course it was. Like I said, this will be a piece of cake.

or ill dive straight into words and entire phrases
wouldnt you love that???
pretty sure you wouldnt
[Yeah, good luck with that then. He can sign pretty fast and you don't always rely on the alphabet to sign certain things.]
no subject
[She can be cocky if she wants to and she is. But that's a state of being for Vriska.]

Dave starts going through a series of different signs. He shows Vriska Mom, Dad, Boy(male), Girl(female), and other things that should be known at a basic level. After each sign, he also uses the alphabet to spell out what he just signed. Hopefully, you can keep up with those. These are just the basics.]

You do realize trolls don't have guardians like humans do, right?? Pretty rude to teach me your human terms! Whatever happened to being culturally senstive?
no subject
assuming i am usually culturally sensitive
youre in a place where most people do
plus
...
nevermind that thought
whatever
youll probably have to use a few of those words eventually
so shut up
jegus
its not like we have a sign
for your troll terms
no subject
[But after she finishes signing those for words a few times, she spells out 'lusus' just to be catty.]
Well, I guess it's fine.

If you want spidermom, you fucking got it.]

How culturally sensitive of you.

Whatever. He goes through some more nouns and what not. He shows her the signs for you and me so she can start some type of half assed conversation with people. He idly wonders what he can trick Vriska into signing. He'll keep some things in mind later when she can start doing entire sentences.]
no subject
Vriska's doing her best to try to memorize what he's showing her so she doesn't have to relearn later. Which means repeating it half a dozen times. And if she did forget, hopefully some of these books would have the standard stuff so Dave wouldn't have to teach it to her again. She really doesn't want to give Dave the satisfaction of her forgetting something.]
no subject
He just...can't really remember learning it.]
no subject
I can take it from here today, Strider. [Her mouth twitches slightly.] We'll do this lesson thing again. Soon.
no subject
Dave at least left with a book or two for reading material.]
