"1-A, 1-A..." Sakuya murmured to himself as he walked into the dorms. Of course, being 1-A, it didn't take long to find at all, as the first room on the first floor of rooms. Pausing before the closed door, he made sure his uniform was nice and straightened out - except for his tie, which there really seemed to be no helping. Maybe someone could remind him how to do it right? - so as to make the best impression possible on those he'd be rooming with, before knocking at the door and calling out with a clear voice.

"Hello, is anyone inside?" He waited for a response, though if there wasn't one after a minute, he let himself in.

Shion shook his head, "No... there are separate bathrooms though." Shion shrugged, it had not been a problem so far. "Maybe you could talk to the headmistress, but I'm not sure what she could do."

"Hmm, well... no, I suppose if that's how it's done here, I don't want to cause trouble," he said unconvincingly. "I guess I'll just have to be more careful about knocking and such..."

Shion nodded, "Don't worry too much about it, Kairi and Madoka are really nice." He smiled again.

"That's good to know, but even so, I'd hate to cause any embarrassing situations... being the one who's unused to the situation, unlike you," he said with a little sigh. "How long have you been here, Shion?"

Shion nodded, understanding his awkwardness at being in a new situation that he didn't understand. "Two weeks, I was on the first train. Though according to the headmistress we are only one group of many who have been here before us."

[floweringknight]

"Is that so? I wonder what happened to those before...?" This whole school, or rather, the island and both schools, was still quite mysterious to him. "Um, say... I recall hearing something about memory charms... is that related to how I keep feeling like there are things I'm forgetting?" For instance, how to tie a tie - his own was a knotted mess right now.

"I am not sure... but they are not here now." He nodded at the question, "It is explained in the book you got, but we have had memories taken from us somehow. Ten of them and we must buy them back."

"I see," he said, making a note to finish reading through that. "I suppose that's more than adequate reason to play... have you gotten any back yet?"

Shion nodded, though he disliked anything to do with this exaclan system, he did wish to have his memories returned to him. "No not yet, they are very expensive."

"I see... how much? I guess I only have the twenty Raks I arrived with..." And it seemed that was already a lot, considering how much they could earn per day or such by playing Exaclan.

Shion nodded, "They cost forty raks, when you are a player you earn raks quickly, it's a little harder when you're a weapon but you can also get a job on a Saturday."

"Maybe I'll look into that..." A sigh. "I'm not sure how well I'd do as a Player... it would feel strange to be ordering around others."

Shion nodded, "Well... when I was a player I did not need to order others around... I dislike being a player but it means you can make sure that others are treated equally and fairly. If we used it to order others we would be playing into the system, for they wish to make us see some people as better than others."

[floweringknight]

"I guess you can look at it that way... ensuring people don't have bad players," said Sakuya. "Though I wonder about that... if players change, doesn't that just mean those who were 'better' one week might be 'worse' the next?"

Shion nodded again, he had wondered about that, there system of equality made it so that your status changed every week. Did that make it more equal?

"It is like that yes, but I don't believe that makes it any better." Because if you were going to swap round who was better and worse, why have such a system in the first place, why not just allow equality to begin with.

[floweringknight]

"I suppose not... though having thing switch around forces you to consider the viewpoints of others, doesn't it? You'd be less likely to treat a Weapon badly if you'd had that done to you before, wouldn't you?" And sometimes Sakuya was just blithely naive.

Shion is just as naive and he nodded and thought about what Sakuya had said, "Perhaps, at least this way everyone understand what it is like to be treated worse..."

"I suppose we'll see... everyone I've met so far seems nice enough, though," said Sakuya with a smile. "Well, I hope we get along in our time here, Shion."

"They are, everyone is very friendly." He smiled again, "I hope we do as well."
