[Alice has been largely keeping to herself since her arrival in Rakuen. She's never been much of a people person, and she's been more interested in observing and reading the manual a few times and quietly going to classes without much trouble.

And figuring out how the school computers work. This has been difficult.]

Um, hello. My name is Alice Margatroid. I'm a new student in Fortitude school? And since I've read the manual a few times and I've been going to classes since my arrival. But I...um. How do I phrase this? I've been a Discard since my arrival, and I'd really like to change that.

I don't know what kind I'm supposed to be, but I'm certainly curious to find out.

[ Dahlia looks about for the other girl, eyes wide, as she walks toward the other building. They'll have to bump into each other at some point...

Ah! There. Dahlia smiles when she sees Alice. ] Hello! Miss Alice?

Miss Dahlia! I'm glad to meet you.

[Alice curtsies lightly, then offers a hand to shake.]

This is really very kind of you.

[ Dahlia takes Alice's hand lightly, daintily, after curtsying herself. ] Thank you... But you're the one who's kind. Even though we've just met, you're agreeing to be my Weapon.

I promise to protect you, Miss Alice, as your Player.

And I, Miss Dahlia, promise to do what I can to protect you, as your Weapon.

[Alice didn't need to say it, though. The shield on her hand had formed the moment that Dahlia spoke the words.]

How interesting. I hadn't been sure at all how the shield would actually appear...but I'm digressing. Thank you.
