Suzaku's face turned into a frown at the question. He let go of her hand, "A way of control I guess. By taking a countries name and not just changing it, giving them just a number it took their pride. The people as well, instead of their nationality would be referred to by the number. For example Japanese people were, are still by many, called elevens."

The word when he said it was bitter, it was used as an insult more often than not and though he had never complained about being called it, now that they had changed it, were on the road to changing everything, he didn't like saying it.
