After the final two Players fall, they are whisked away to the grey room where they too can give a message, a memory, whatever they wish. Then the room shifts, sending its inhabitants into the soft light of a small hill overlooking Rakuen City.

[Before 5pm] How had it come to this? Suzaku let the shaking rock him as the final tower doors slammed shut and looked around the city. All he could see were shadows though he knew there were others here, the other Players.

He should have expected it, no amount of fighting, of trying to stop giant tortoises, of grappling with shadows, nothing they did seemed to be stopping what was happening. So when the city shook again and the link necklace dropped from his neck tarnishing in his hands Suzaku just felt numb. He shook his head in disbelief and then left the prefect room. He had been with Vane not long before... He couldn't have gone...

Summary: Midnight the city is shaking and all non prefect characters who are not linked to anyone get a penalty, Shion is one of them.

The day had been strange, Shion had not left the campus because of things he had heard, people trying to get the Players to fight, shouting at the students. Then people had disappeared. Then he had been hit with a penalty. It was worrying. Shion had went to bed quite right afterwards, needing the time to think but it was a while before he fell asleep.

The room is featureless and grey. Formless. Oddly soft around the edges, it shifts and warps if you try to concentrate on any one piece of it. There are no doors or windows, or openings of any kind; you are alone. You cannot hear anything; it is not so much that there are no sounds, instead, the concept of sound itself seems to be lacking.

Sunday dawns grey and raining with darker clouds on the horizon. Sudents and teachers alike will probably get a sense that something is wrong when they go to breakfast, the townspeople that work in the cafeterias look grim and work in complete silence as they hand out breakfast. All screens display the same message; Please may all students report to the Battle Arena at 12 Noon for assembly.

Sunday dawned more rainy than Saturday, and students would wake to an announcement directing them to their foyers for assembly. Those who were observant would have realised that yesterday though the train had arrived it had been empty of people, supplies had been delivered but the prefects hadn't been sent to meet anyone.

Class starts as normal, but instead of "Mr. Nanami", there is a young, long dark haired woman with the skirt of her school uniform rolled up rather short. She writes on the board, "Ms. Amano". She spins, causing the skirt to lift a little bit teasingly. "Hello," she announces, even her voice sounding different from Asagi. "I will be your substitute for this week. Would someone like to catch me up to where Mr. Nanami was?"

Shion had been looking forward to Saturday when the mouse he had asked for, not a real mouse of course. Though it looked identical to one, this was a robot mouse. Shion was sure Nezumi wouldn't miss one of them, and there were places Shion couldn't go.

[There might have been doors slamming about the Prefect dorms on the Conquest grounds a while after the greeting of the people coming off of the train but after 3 or so slams, it was quiet. About a half an hour later there is a message on the network from the fairy.]

For those getting off the train their first impression of Rakuen is one of dreary, overcast skies. Although it's blessedly dry, the platform is still dark from a previous rainshower. The gaggle of uniformed greeters there to meet you are armed with umbrellas and school coats: on one side, four students in black and green; on the other, five in red and white. Whilst those in green are all unremarkable humans - mostly teenagers - the red group are a tad more varied. That is to say, one of their number is tiny, a girl the size of a small child, and her wings are beating delicate patterns in the warm air.
