Summary: Louis attempts to teach a class about music despite having forgotten how to play his own trumpet.

BEFORE CLASS
Louis was desperately trying to play his trumpet. Each time he touched it, though, a pain went through his head, and he had to withdraw. The one time he actually managed to bring it to his beak, all that came out were fairly unmusical screechings. His wings slumped. How could he teach if he couldn't even play anymore?

START OF CLASS
Louis stood in front of the classroom, trying to look stern. On the chalkboard behind him, he had written a question: "Who already knows how to play an instrument?"

[Louis is surprised at the sudden dark expression. Surely it can't be that bad?]

you dont like instruments. that was a question. [This is how you make up for not knowing the procedure for question mark-typing, right?]

There aren't any here? [He assumes that's the problem. After all, if they were here, he could pretty easily be shown them, right?]

[As far as he knows, the only one is in his room.]

[Oh. That complicates things. Hm. He's still curious, though.]

Could you show me after class?

No. Squeaky and loud and rude, and never shares blankets!

[Yeah, he might be projecting the musician onto the instrument there. Just a bit.]

[He blinks in surprise. Quick typing happens.]

are you talking about the musician. a musician isn't the same as their instrument.

[This seems to surprise him. It's true, of course, when he stops to think about it. Still, he proceeds with caution.]
