just got off the train and all that and got the basic spiel
but i still have a bunch of questions
so if anyone could answer them for me id really appreciate it
so first off
what the hell is up with this uniform?
please tell me there is an alternative to this short skirt

things work around here i guess?

Very well. What would you like to know? I do believe the basics of the Exaclan game are explained in the manual you received.

Can you tell me anything about the people running this show?

[stoppedhiding]

The six women who we call "staff" were captives of the system in a previous iteration of Exaclan. In order to allow their peers to return home, it seems a sacrifice was required. While they wield relative power over us, they are not the ones responsible for our captivity.

Those who are truly responsible are, for now at least, beyond our reach and knowledge.

So this whole schools warring things has been happening repeatedly? And there is a way back home?

Yes, as far as we've been told. It seems that the six towers around the city must be unlocked by residents who have attained the position of "prefect" in order to open the way home.

how does someone become a prefect?

[stoppedhiding]

We haven't received official confirmation, but I believe one must obtain all five of one's upgrades -- purchasable at the shop in town -- and meet a certain condition which triggers the appearance of a star from one's weapon when it is drawn. And before you ask, we have not determined what that condition is.

[ Golbez keeps thinking he might be close to figuring it out, but then his mind fogs up as though from a lost memory and it slips out of his grasp. ]
