White walls. Boring white walls had stared back at her for ages. Rapunzel hadn't seen pure white walls since she was old enough to hold a paintbrush. To be frank it was a bit unnerving for a girl who was used to decorating everything in sight.

So an array of paints was requested and received, and she eyed the wall above her bed. It clearly need some color. So a splash of purple morphed into flowers as she painted up the wall.

Strangely enough, Mei could be very quiet when she put her mind to it. She had reason enough to barge in and be noisy, since it was her dorm room, too, but something about this made her reluctant to do so. Maybe she thought she would spook Rapunzel if she was too loud, which would ruin the picture the other girl was painting.

So, the tiny girl is at the foot of Rapunzel's bed, leaning across it, head propped on folded arms, watching with wide-eyed. It's like she just appeared there, being so quiet when she snuck over and flopped down there to observe. It never crossed her mind that someone might be just as startled by that as they would with loud noises.
