Summary: A second tower is opened

This post is for opening the tower. Once it's open, the mods will put up another post for the battle with the guardian.

Once classes had finished on Monday afternoon, the group assembled in front of the tower. The plaques at the front awaited their four handprints.

Golbez pulled his Exaclan glove onto one hand in preparation for drawing Suzaku and Lelouch's weapons. "Let's begin," he said simply.

Lelouch strode over to allow Golbez access to his weapon. "Youll feel a hum that gets stronger as people add their hands. Then when the fourth makes contact you'll be knocked back from the door. Then there will be a show of lights and the star from before." He addressed everyone that was there to unlock the tower. They needed to know what was coming.

Sora adjusted her grip on her own shimmering sword, having explained the situation - and why it was important she go alone - to her Player that morning. It was exciting, preparing to do battle against a monster, but the true excitement of a battle was protecting people you loved, and that wasn't something she needed to do here. Instead, she had Jade standing near the edge of the tower plaza, ready to fight alongside them. That was its own thrill.

"Got it!"

Suzaku just nodded at Lelouch's words, he had been there last time and if it were the same he knew what to expect. He moved over to Golbez so his Weapon could be drawn and waited until it was time.

Jake was also paying attention. He was bouncing slightly on his heels in anticipation though. This was all so exciting and nerve-racking. He hated monsters for certain, but this was going to put them one step closer to winning this thing.

And hey, he'd dealt with monsters his whole damn life so why not now?

For protection sake, and because Grandma always told him to have a weapon on him when potentially dealing with monsters, he'd already drawn Dirk's spear and had it in one hand.

"Righto! Let's bust this thing wide open!" And with that he unflinchingly placed his hand on the plaque.

Golbez had hoped to do this in some kind of more official manner, but Jake's way of doing it worked also.

He drew out Lelouch's weapon first, as he wasn't a prefect and didn't have to worry about being distracted, and placed his hand on the second plaque. The hum the tower had started emitting at Jake's touch increased in volume.

Once his weapon was drawn, he turned and walked away from the main group and the tower. He knew what was coming, and he'd like to be able to remain on his feet. He didn't like the battlefield, but he had to make it work.

It was time for a miracle.

Sora's was the last to activate, split seconds after Golbez's. Having been late to the wyrm-slaying, she was less ready for the noise and violence of the resulting wail and push. Her flight backwards was at least arrested by her collision with another person, though.

Unfortunately.

Suzaku had placed his hand on before Golbez, listening to the wail of the tower get louder. Even though he knew what to expect it was still strange to be flung through the air, stranger still for Sora to land on him.

He looked up at the star, wondering what creature would appear this time.
