[Tuesday Morning]
Characters: John Peixes and David Strider[On Sunday afternoon, John fell asleep and didn't wake up. With his Player asleep, David's own Weapon couldn't be drawn. So on Monday, with neither a Weapon nor a weapon, he knew that if the fiery bird approached he could do little against it.
Format: Action
This log is: closed
Location: Fortitude's infirmary
Summary: John wakes up after being in a coma for two days. David has hardly left his side.
Warnings: Fluff and falling asleep during hugs.
Still, David stayed awake through the night in case another monster appeared in the city. But it had remained quiet; now, a few hours since the sun had risen, the peacefulness (and his own incessant yawning) were starting to convince him to sleep.]

[ He wasn't alone though. Was that... Dave? ]
Good... morning?
Um. You need not guard me. I don't think anyone is going to slide inside my room and stab me while I sleep.

How are you feeling?
[David touched John's arm lightly, unsure if it would hurt him.]
You've been asleep the past two evenings. It's now Tuesday morning.

I am fine.
...That is certainly odd. I don't know what to say to that! I don't feel like I have slept for that long. Perhaps I have angered a witch somewhere? [ He chuckled, but he looked a bit uncomfortable. ]
[ He noted Dave's exhausted state. ]
How are you feeling?

I'm alright. A monster attacked the city last night.
[He fought back another yawn. Or tried to, anyway.]

Well! That certainly sounds exciting. Did anyone get hurt? I hope not. That would be terrible.
It seems like while I've been asleep the past two evenings, you were awake. Were you at... my bedside the whole time?
no subject
At your side, but only last night was I awake the entire time.
no subject
You... shouldn't have. But I appreciate it. Your friendship means a lot to me, Dave.
[ He smiles at him and reaches for Dave's hand on his arm. ]
no subject
...but no, this was still John.
David closed the short distance between them with a hug.]

If sleeping for an unreasonable amount of time can extract a hug from you, then I daresay I should do it more often.
