Once the prefects are done collecting the new arrivals, Dirk tugs his beret off his head and stuffs it into one pocket, and makes for the unloaded cargo that's to be transported to the shop. With Jake unconscious, someone has to pick up the corpse he ordered.

Except there sure are a lot more Unreal Airs scattered around than there should have been. There are literally hundreds of the things littering the platform, hovering above the ground. Some of them are already escaping from above. Dirk just comes to a stop beside the large, body-sized crate labeled with Jake's name, staring at the veritable maelstrom of artifacts that surrounds him.

Who's responsible for this? He glances around, and his eyes come to rest on a couple more sizable boxes stamped with Jane's name. "Jane, what did you do?"

"What did you buy?" She's so confused.

Dirk moves over to glance in the box. His eyes widen.

"Holy mother of shit, Jane."

Brobot is switched off right now. Dirk kneels beside the box; he should at least be able to figure out how to switch him back on. Hm.

[overbiterestart]

She stands next to Jade.

"A robot. To make everyone's lives easier, and to cheer him up. I was getting slightly worried the dull atmosphere of this place was depressing him." Little does Jade know, Jane is eventually going to do the same for her- just gotta toss the negative Raks.

[greenspaces]

"That's really nice of you. I should order my robot from home..."

Jade looks thoughtful for a second, but then smiles again. "Dirk, do you need help?"

Dirk feels a pang in his chest at Jane's words. Shit. She really is the best fucking friend any of them have.

"Uh... No, I think I got this. Just having a little amnesia issue, but even I can find where I put that damn on switch."

He can. Right.

Aha, there. A moment later, Brobot comes to life and pushes himself to his feet. Even with his expressionless robot face, he still seems confused by his surroundings; Dirk rests a hand on his arm. "I'll explain everything once we've got a moment. You carry this;" he gestures to Jake's crate; "but be gentle with it or I'm sellin' you to a scrap yard in some Third World country where they'll use your parts to make sex toys and Asus laptops."

Brobot takes what is, for him, a while to process this information; for everyone else, it's just a second. He lifts up Jake's box and holds it carefully, and Dirk goes over to take Jane's other crate from Jade.

She doesn't want to be seen that way, unfortunately. She isn't the type to jump for recognition or anything, she was just doing something nice for her friend and that was that. There was really nothing more to say on the matter but to watch Dirk try and flip the robot on. Which is kind of endearing in it's own little way, bouts of amnesia were always a fun thing to deal with.

Ah, and then the robot wakes up, equally as confused as any newcomer.

Jane stands next to Jade, smiling. "I'll walk with you since the boys seem to have everything under control from here."

[greenspaces]

"Dirk, can I look at him later?" Jade seems extremely enthused for someone who was kind of depressed before. "He's so cool. How did you make him?"

"Okay." She smiles back at Jane.

"Of course." As Dirk answers, Brobot glances over at Jade as curiously as a robot can. Because who is she, and why does she look so much like Jake?

As Jane and Jade walk together, Dirk and Brobot take the lead. Dirk starts explaining the situation in terms the robot can understand, tuning out the girls for now.
