[Becca's been putzing with her PDA, so when she opens the door to Shion's room, it's already on, at a weird angle, but her voice is clear.]

Hey Shion, so what are you pla--

...Shion?

[The PDA clatters to the floor and lands at an angle, propped up against the wall. It shows an empty room and Becca on her knees, holding an upgrade ring and a memory charm. The video cuts out as she bursts into sobs.]

[He accepts, holding her gently and lightly kissing her forehead.]

[She nuzzles into him, squeezing him a bit tighter at the kiss. It's more than she dared hope for, but it feels really nice.]

[He holds her for another moment before stepping into the room so he's not just standing in the doorway.] E-enjoy your c-cake?

[She shuts the door behind him and sighs.]

Not really. But you might cheer me up more.

[Alex smiles] I h-hope! I w-wish I had s-some c-cards, th-those always c-can be fun!

No, just come here.

[She retreats over to her bed and sits down.]

We're not gonna do anything. So don't...don't get ideas or freak out, either of 'em.

[Alex just smiles and follows her, sitting beside her.] I-I'll try not!

[pencilpremonition]

[She kicks her shoes off and wraps an arm around Alex's waist.]

[Alex has started to become a lot more comfortable with her and doesn't even seem to mind that. He just puts his arm around her too.]

[She leans back, laying on the bed and trying to tug him with her.]

Woah! [And Alex is successfully tugged back, laughing a bit. He kicks off his shoes so they don't get dirt on her bed. Even though he allows Becca to pull him back, he's bright red, but also smiling.]

[She nuzzles into him, cuddling close.]

I...don't know how I'm gonna cope, Alex... Shion was...was like having a brother again...

[Alex pets her hair,] y-you two w-were really c-close, then? [He knew that they were close, but never realized quite how close they had been.]

Between the two of you, you're my everything here. And now he's gone.

[afraid_of_my_shadow]

[Alex thinks for a moment,] W-well, y-you still g-got me, and I ain't g-going anywhere. I-if I do, I'll find a w-way back.

You have to, Alex...you have to, I can't do this alone...

[He nuzzles into her hair,] Th-then it's a p-promise.

And I'll always be here for you. I'll always be yours. I swear.

[Alex goes redder, blushing to his ears. He slips his arm under her neck and pulls her close.] Always.

[The temptation to kiss him is SO STRONG. She hides her face against his shoulder.]

[Alex rests his head against hers, stroking her hair. His heart was beating fast, and he almost felt lightheaded, but also a bit like the luckiest guy.]

I...really like you, Alex...

[Alex smiles, looking at her lovingly,] I-I really like you t-too, Becca. [He brushes back her hair and kisses her cheek]

[She gasps in surprise, but holds him a bit tighter.]

[He squeezes her back, stroking her face. He grows a bit more red,] y-you think? Y-you think I c-could k-kiss y-you?
