So it's come to my attention that this place is a kind of "hub" between worlds, meaning we all come from different worlds with varying levels of technology and abilities. In other words- we're diverse.
Given the vagueness of the win condition and that we only have word of mouth as a guarantee we'll be returned home once it's achieved, I think it would probably be in the interest of all to use this diversity to its full advantage. I'd like to create a "standard" of knowledge. A sort of basic level of information that everyone trapped here, the staff included, can understand. That way, we can hopefully begin to verify if the people who took us actually have the means to send us back.
With that said, I'll volunteer what I know first.
In 2634 A.D., Willafai Kuzsik proposed what would become known in my day as the Kuzsik Theory. The belief that just as there are an infinite number of colors reflected in a single beam of light, there are infinite "lines" of reality co-existing side-by-side.Though each line was necessary to form the whole, they ran parallel and never actually connected.
In 2688, Ramiel Logan, a student of Kuzsik, believed that there was a way to cause these worlds to connect, if only briefly. Following Einstein's Theory of Relativity, he claimed that just as light and time are warped by black holes, the lines of reality could as well and that each black hole actually exited onto another "line of reality." For that reason he proposed the Wormhole Theory, which stated that Wormholes could be used as gates between the planes of reality. Unfortunately, he died long before the Wormhole Theory could ever be realized and his followers have had little success in the area since.
It's my belief that this world is, following Logan's Theory, an actual wormhole drop zone. A place where there is such a massive gravitational pull of spacetime that hundreds of realities are being caught up in its hold. Given the level of technology on this island, I also believe the pull and resultant capture of us is unintentional and not a controlled event. If anyone else has evidence or theories to support the contrary, I'd like to hear it. Even if you feel it's insignifigant and unfounded.
That's all, thank you for your time.

i am not from that far into the future
but if what you said is true and there is scientific evidence to prove it
then maybe you are right!
even theories are something to go by
Re: text

though i think a lot of things at home might have also explained stuff like this
because universe shenanigans were very common
but you would have to ask dave
i dont know much about it at all
Re: text

he is the knight of time at home
and really good at universe shenanigans
there are two daves here from my home
and a third dave who is not from our universe but is still a dave

All of the surface worlds are connected to Asgard with a Heaven's Gate, not a black hole or whatever.
