[ main entrance, open to all! ]
Characters: Ieyasu TokugawaTo say Ieyasu is dazed would be an understatement.
Format: Prose, action, whichever.
This log is: Open!
Location: Main entrance.
Summary: Ieyasu's introduction! Feel free to come bug him.
Warnings: Sengoku-era cluelessness? ETA I may be a bit slow in replying due to sickness at the moment, sorry about that!
It must be a dream, he thinks, as he starts to register his surroundings. It looks to be a carriage of some sort, a contraption he'd not even witnessed in the hands of the Saika. Before he can try to begin making sense of things, this dream, vivid as it is, ushers him off and away into even stranger territory.
A building. A grand one, at that; the architecture is astounding, Ieyasu thinks. It's unlike any place Ieyasu has ever seen, and his senses flooding back to him don't do a lot in the way of helping him rationalize it. The air and smells and sounds of this place are unfamiliar, but they are almost certainly genuine. Perhaps he had been wrong, this could be...
...No, he tells himself, it won't do him any good to panic-- so he stands in that very spot and scans the immediate grounds in search of a familiar face; Tadakatsu, one of his soldiers, anyone. And that's when it occurs to Ieyasu that he's not entirely sure what he's looking for: his mind is decidedly blank at the notion of Tadakatsu's face.
He's awake, but far from understanding.

She spots someone not wearing the uniform, and approaches without hesitation.
"Excuse me? Are you new here?" she says, brightly.

"I...suppose that I am, yes," he replies. "Might I ask for your name?"

... You don't have trains, where you're from? Really? [ she says it with a bit of awe, curiosity, rather than anything else ]

Say, you called this place 'Utopia Academy'...What is it, exactly, that you do here? Why was I brought here?
no subject
It's a school. I don't think any of us really know why we're here, but it seems like we've been gathered to play a game. It's... a complex game with a lot of rules and guidelines. There's a video in the main lobby that you can watch to get the gist of things.

A 'video'?

It's not. It's all the yellow, she realizes. Daddy wears a lot of yellow too. She's almost angry enough to cry, and almost angry enough to lob the mango at the man's head, but he doesn't deserve that. So she takes a deep breath and just stares at him for a while.
He looks completely clueless, kinda like Baije.
"Hey, are you all right?" Huashi says, still unashamedly staring, half-eaten mango in one hand. She doesn't get any closer though. Just because he wears yellow like daddy doesn't mean he's okay.

So he stares mutely for a moment, weighing his options. In the end he decides to carry on as if nothing about this stranger is too out of the ordinary. "Ah, yes," he blurts out. "I am all right, but...I can't say I have been here before."
no subject
"I don't think anyone is? Dunno though!" She pauses and tilts her head, then half turns and points to the big building with the impressive entrance.
"I think you're supposed to go there."
Not very much with the explanations, but then, Huashi doesn't have many of those herself.

"I see," Ieyasu replies, nodding. Any answer at all is one he's grateful for, and so he starts toward the entrance. "Thank you."

He's not quite as impressed with the architecture as the other man who'd arrived today, so he isn't fixated on that; instead, he's been flipping through the book that was in the briefcase he'd arrived with.
He glances over to the other confused-looking man. "You wouldn't have any idea what's behind this, would you?"
no subject
"I'm afraid I do not," he replies. He pauses for a moment. "Could I ask your name?"
no subject
...of the man with the moustache. What was his name again? How could he have forgotten? He's dizzy for a moment as he realizes he can't remember the Doman man's name, but that passes. He has to focus on the present right now.
"Edgar of Figaro," he replies, leaving off his title for now. There might not even be a Figaro to rule when he returns home. "And yourself?"
no subject
He looks back to the building before them. There could be answers within-- or enemies. "We seem to share the same trouble. Perhaps there is someone who could help us inside?"

/EXTREMELY LATE REPLY I'M SORRY
These answers, vague as they are, present themselves in the form of yet another device that Ieyasu is unfamiliar with: a panel of sorts, one boasting sound and moving picture. Though he's puzzled, to say the least, he sets that aside as best he can to try and make sense of the words he hears.
