Summary: Jade feels kind of bad about how she treated Harley, so she's going to apologize.

[ So she felt more than a little bad about what had happened between her and the other Jade. She knew that she was being unreasonable - it didn't feel good to meet the girl who got to live when she disappeared, but she was still inconsiderate - so she decides that the best thing to do would be to apologize. The other Jade didn't deserve someone being mean to her any more than anyone else. And it wasn't her fault that things had turned out the way they had. That blame lay solely on the shoulders of paradox space, the thing that forced them to make terrible decisions like that in the first place.

So after the Fortitude assembly, she snuck her way into Conquest. Not that it was ever difficult; if asked, she had her almost daily visits to Santana to fall back on as an excuse, though Santana would probably roll her eyes and give a sassy remark if she ever found out that she abused the privilege. Finding the door that has "Jade Harley" etched on it, she knocks and peeks her head in a bit, a little nervous about this. What if the other Jade didn't want an apology? What if she was so mean that Jade never wanted to talk to her again? ]

[Harley was sitting quietly on the bed, holding a power ring and a memory charm in her hands. She was staring down at them, turning them every which way and running her fingers over every crevice.
She's startled out of her trance when Jade opens the door, but quickly brightens her expression and waves a little. She was supposed to be strong, wasn't she? She shouldn't act sad around the other girl...]

Hello, Jade. What are you doing here?

[ Jade holds Harley's gaze for a minute before her eyes drop to the floor. Digging in the pocket of her vest, she pulls out a piece of paper and holds it out to the other girl. However, she makes no move to leave the doorway, in case Harley actually wants her to get out. ]

I wanted to give you this.

[ She fidgets a bit, realizing that her fingernails are filled with dirt from the prefect's garden and awkwardly short from biting. Jade mentally kicks herself; she should have filed them, or at least gotten the dirt out, or something... ]

Sorry. About the...um. The train station.

[She carefully pockets the items dropped by Dave and slides off the bed, reaching out and taking the offered paper with a curious expression and perked ears.]

What's this?

[She shakes her head a little at the latter part, smiling.]

It's ok, really. I'm sure you had your reasons!

Not really. [ She shakes her head, but she's still kind of staring at the floor. ] I just...felt bad. I hadn't actually told anyone what happened at home. Except Dave. The um, the one in Fortitude.

[ Actually she kind of screamed at him and then told him she never wanted to talk to him again, but they're okay now. Inside of the paper, there's an "I'm Sorry for being mean" note, as well as a memory charm. ]

[She smiles a little when she sees the gift, adding it to her recently beginning collection of bling. She blinks a little right after, mouth forming an 'oh.']

I remember how I died, now.

[She holds her arms out a little, offering a hug but unsure if Jade was okay with it.]

Thank you for the present, and I forgive you! And I'm sorry if I made things hard for you when I got here.

You died?

[ Jade looks up at that, finally. There's so much about the other Jade she doesn't know, she supposes -- all the things that didn't happen to her, that happened to someone else. So that they share something a bit similar is almost a shock to her. ]

I did too. Kind of, I mean. I don't exist any more.

[ She hesitates, before wrapping her arms around Harley. ]

I know you didn't mean to. I was just scared that no one would want me around any more, which I guess was kind of silly... [ She shakes her head. ] No, it was super silly.

[Jade nods, fiddling with the charm.]

In order to reach God Tier, you need to die and get put on your quest bed. I died from a huge explosion caused by a Derse Agent, and Jack took me to my bed, I think.

[She frowns a little at the nonexisting part.]

Rose escaped a splintered timeline, once... I wish we could've saved you, too.

[She returns the hug wholeheartedly, trying not to be too rough or squeeze too hard or anything to the smaller girl.]

Very silly.

It's okay, it needed to happen. I just don't get to go home, that's all.

[ But she doesn't really want to say anything more - nor does she have anything else to say - so after the hug is over she lapses into a bit of a quiet silence, waiting for Jade to speak up again. She seemed like she had so much to say, after all. ]

...Hey, uhm...

[She pulls out the items Dave left behind, showing them to the other girl.]

Do you know...?

It means someone left. That they... [ She can't say "that they went home," because their souls are still here. She's seen them. She knows them. ] they aren't with us any more.

Who was it?

...Oh.

[She pauses for a moment.]

Dave. The Dave that came here with me.
