dude he's like in a coma
Characters: Kotarou, visitorsThe room is small, one of the minor rooms set aside for students who aren't in the infirmary for a scraped knee or a cold. There are several metal chairs scattered around the room, as well as a single table and a curtain that can be pulled around the bed if need be. The bed itself swamps the boy lying in it, with white sheets and a faded green coverlet; a monitor is within reach on the bedside unit. It beeps every minute, on the dot, to let the nurse know his charge is still alive. Despite this and the drip in his arm, visitors are assured that he will wake up with no negative side-effects within a few days.
Format: any
This log is: open
Location: one of the infirmary rooms.
Summary: After this battle, Kotarou is transferred to the infirmary to recover from his Exaclan-induced coma. This log covers the three days he's out, and his waking up after that. Depending on 'when' you visit, he might not respond, but feel free to mingle around the unconscious kid.
Warnings: moar trauma. Copious angst. Possibly people will get punched.

About half an hour after Kotarou is admitted to the infirmary, the two girls arrive. Sora is supporting Oichi as well as she can, but she's loathe to trigger the warning penalty's second stage, and so has to ration her touch. Much to her distress. One hand is tracing a constant, reassuring arc through the older girl's hair, just light enough that it doesn't alert the system beyond occasional twinges.
"He's in here," she says, once they've gone past several empty rooms and found the single door with a nameplate inserted into its frame. "Do you want me to come in with you?"

The infirmary is more of a home to her than her own room, or her room here, for that matter. Yuki was here so often; one door down is where she had freed Reiko, beyond that was the room she'd woken up in after her defeat against Shoujou. There are a lot of mixed memories in this building, but at least there are still memories. With practise, she unlatches the door and slips in, with the door wide enough for both herself and Oichi without letting it open enough that the hinges creak.
"Excuse us-"

"What's she doing here?!" Huashi demanded and jumped off the bed, landing between that and Sora and Oichi. Huashi stared at Ichi, who should have listened to Kotarou. He hadn't said he was ready yet! The urge to just tell them to get out was great, especially as Ichi was one of the two.

"Ohh... Ichi... is here to see Kotarou," she mumbles, meeting Huashi's gaze with her own blank stare.

"Ichi is here to see a friend... a friend... don't keep Ichi from him, please..." And she takes an uneven step forwards, head lolling back.

The smell of sweet, rotten fruit is strong, stronger than it's been before.
"I-- You're not getting close to him! You smell bad!" It may not have been the smartest thing to say, but Ichi's smell and behaviour is upsetting her.

So, naturally, she gets between Huashi and Oichi, going down to one knee to try and reassure the monkey-tailed girl. She doesn't know Oichi well, but that's never stopped Sora from believing in someone before.
"She won't hurt him, I promise. What happened back there, his weapon--" she swallows, and glances back at Oichi, "It's painful for everyone. She didn't know this would happen. None of you did, and we should have told you all sooner."

"Really? What's with... with... that then?! HUH? And she smells. Bad. Sweet. Like rotten fruit." Huashi doesn't really care about Ichi's intentions, really, because she's sure (she thinks) Ichi didn't 'mean to' hurt Kotarou by fighting with his pendant. No, it's Ichi's behaviour she's zeroed in on.

She sees his chest rise and fall and the tears that had gathered fall now. "Ah... he isn't... he's not dead..." she manages after a beat.

"No. touching," she hisses, because she's not gonna let a woman like that touch Kotarou, even if he likes her.
