So I guess we know now what happens when you sacrifice three corpses to the tower.

Everyone might just want to stay out of the tower in the arena until this is cleared up. If you go in, you wind up in a mirror boss fight with a shadow version of yourself.

If you leave and go back in, it keeps happening. I wound up fighting mine four times just to make sure. But on the plus side, if you beat it there's a chance it'll drop a memory charm. I got three of them, all from, like, alternate universe mes. I don't know if that's universal or not. Anyone else have data they'd like to submit?

((OOC: After consulting with the mods: A memory charm definitely drops after the first fight; on each subsequent fight, there's a 50% chance of a charm dropping.))

[She's heading to the room now, memory charm in hand. She hasn't clipped this one on yet.]

That was rather riveting if I do say so myself. [Jane you silly thing, all roughed up.]

[ That's okay. Dirk's sitting on his bed, holding an ice pack up against one arm. He's kind of bruised up, too. ]

I know, right? Congrats, looks like you were victorious yet again.

[She's retrieving a tissues for her nose, she presses it there and holds it out to him.]

Shall we find out together?

[ With a smile, he reaches out to take it and clip it to his bracelet at the same time she does. ]

[Jane takes a moment, she is remembering this particular conversation. She doesn't...understand why?]

[ His brow is furrowed in concentration as he focuses on this memory. That's... wow, that is strange. ]

That's John Egbert. He used to be here.

Who is the woman, then. That can't be me.

[She laughed the same, had to same quirkyness about her.]

I never did get to meet John Egbert. King John, yes.

Yeah, Egbert didn't stick around long for some reason.

And, uh, I hate to break it to you, but if she's John's nanna... then yeah, I think she is you.

[She brushes her fingers with his briefly. Jesus. That look on his face. He really wasn't kidding.]

Oh have mercy. I might be wise, and ghosty looking. But you'd think I'd not seem to be so darned silly!

So essentially I'm John's Nanna. [touching her nose gently with her free hand. Ouch, bruised.]

[ He detaches the charm from his bracelet, and nods. ]

How could any version of you not be so darned silly, Jane?

Yeah, you are. In the universal iteration that came before ours. You're his nanna, Roxy is Rose Lalonde's mother, I'm Dave's older sister, and Jake is Jade's grandfather.

I need to go back Dirk. To find out if I can have any more information on this woman. I need to know who she is. I'm not silly right now, now am I! I look quite serious with my bloody nose and lack of uniform coat, thank you.

[She is over exaggerating. Ha ha ha ha.]

This is a ll very confusing. I've never attempted to comprehend this.

[ Nope. He takes her hand and pulls her down to sit beside him. ] You can go back later. Right now you need to rest up. We all do.

What, the scratch nonsense? Do you need me to explain it again? [ Because he has explained it. There's no way he hasn't. Even if we never. Threaded it... Sob. ]

[:T Are you trying to stop a woman with a purpose? Hmph! It works for now. Her nose and upper body are far to sore to be doing that again.] Fine.

[She shakes her head.] Remember, I said baby steps Dirk. I....don't exactly believe there is a connection with us just yet. I have no way of telling if that is the pure truth.

[ He pinches his nose and sighs. Jane, Jane, Jane. ]

[ And he takes off one of his memory charms -- the very first one he ever got, the one containing all of his knowledge of his and Roxy's ancestors -- and holds it out to her. ] Put this on.

[She knows this must be frustrating to him. She looks apologetic.]

Forgive me.

[She clips on the bracelet. Letting herself concentrate on only the memory.]

[ It's a bit dizzying to lose that memory; it's something majorly, majorly important, and he knows it has to do with Dave -- but how? Dave isn't from their universe, he'd never met him before coming here.

He watches Jane as she concentrates on the memory. ]

[She is zoned for atleast ten minutes, after that she gently clips it back on his wrist. She's just nodding. She still doesn't want to believe all of this.]

I really frustrate you guys, don't I?

[ Oh, so that's what... He's silent for a moment as he re-processes that memory. ]

Sometimes. But you're coming around, and I appreciate that.

It's really hard to believe all of this. I won't say that I am one hundred percent sold on this yet, but seeing it helped. Seeing how much I frustrate you guys is more motivation to solidify your stories.

[She nods. She saw everything. Mentions of Dirk's brother passing on, Roxy being upset that Jane didn't understand. Everything. It was making sense now]

I'm glad to hear that.

For what it's worth, I understand your skepticism. If I were in your place, I don't know if I'd believe it all right off the bat either.

[ He pauses. ] Actually, on that note, there's something I wanted you to see.
