Suzaku Kururugi vs. Mei Chang

Weapons: Euphemia li Britannia and Gino Weinberg
Location: At the docks
Time of day: High Noon

Unfortunately Suzaku had agreed to this battle with Mei before he had fought Tsuki and lost Lelouch. That meant that since Kotarou was still recovering not that he would use the kid anyways after what happened last time and he had promised Lelouch not to use Nunnally in battle he had to use Euphemia's weapon. He didn't want to, he didn't want to hurt her; he didn't want to hurt anyone. But no one had been rendered unconscious in the last battle, so he was hoping that that was something rare. As long as they were careful.

Suzaku looked at Euphemia, "Are you sure this is alright, we can still forfeit if it's not..."

She watches with big eyes as he pulls the weapon out of her-- it's a strange, strange sensation that has her stagger back and gasp slightly as it comes out. It doesn't hurt, not exactly.

When it's pulled out, the metal of the thing gleams in the light. Dark and ugly. A tool of war, of killing. Of course it would be a weapon. Of course it would be something to kill with. But something so ugly coming out of her... she hadn't expected it, even if logically she knew. And then. Suzaku's reaction to it. Her heart hurts. She steps forwards and touches the gun with one hand and rests the other on his shoulder.

"It's... it's ugly," she says. "It's so ugly... I'm sorry."

Suzkau pulled gun out of Euphemia's range, he did not want her to touch it. He knew she couldn't remember and that was for the best but he didn't want her any where near this, he didn't want to be anywhere near this. If he didn't know how much it would hurt her he would have thrown it. But instead he held it protectively even as he hated it because it was part of Euphy and he had to protect her.

"It... It's not that, It's alright Euphy, it will be alright," his voice was calmer. He was getting better at hiding his distress around Euphy. He touched the hand that held his shoulder and gave her a pained smile.

"I don't know why something like this came out," she says quietly, hands falling to her sides. "Are you okay, Suzaku?" He looked like he was going to cry, even if his voice has since leveled out. He's putting on a happy face for her, she realizes.

Suzaku did, but he wasn't saying anything. Euphemia would never remember, if he had anything to do with it, and so probably would never understand. That made him feel bad but it was better this way. She did not deserve the pain of remembering what she had done.

"I'm fine," he lied, "Mei should be here soon..."
