Summary: how do I shot meteor hammer. Teaching time with Gaara-sensei! Follows on from this thread.
Warnings: None.

[Gaara had been resigned to teaching others how to use his weapon from the get-go. Meteor hammers aren't a popular weapon choice even amongst shinobi, and he only knows how to use it thanks to his ~beloved~ father's extensive and somewhat overdone weapon training. It's an appropriate weapon, but it's appropriate for him, coincidentally the one person unable to wield it in a battle.

He's going to end up very used to this gymnasium, he decides. They gained entry the moment Mikoto came into view - apparently Players get a free pass, no questions asked - and he moves to stand near the centre of the room after leaving his uniform bag near the wall.]

[she is very easily pleased, isn't she? It's actually somewhat relaxing to be around her.]

Okay! [except in her excitement, the end part of the hammer slams into a wall. Um whoops]

[which, of course, feeds back to Gaara as the vague feeling he's just been hit with a brick

He doesn't say anything, but he flinches rather noticeably.]

[he's fine, he's fine. He'll work out what THAT was later.]

I didn't mean to do it though.

Sorry. Are you okay?

Yeah. [the last thing he needs is her scared of using the weapon. He goes back over to her and kneels down, so he's looking up at her.] You didn't mean to, so it's fine.

[awildcatappears]

... [She looks away for a moment and then looks back at him.]

I'll be more careful.

[ninjasloveme]

Thank you. [corrects a small shift in her grip, then stands again]

Now, try to hit me with it.

But-- [She has to fight an enemy. You're not an enemy...]

I'll dodge. Don't worry.

[awildcatappears]

...Okay...

[She still really doesn't like the idea, but she has to do it.]

[She takes the hammer and swings it back and forth to get some momentum. Last time she just threw it and it dragged her along with it. But she aims it in Gaara's direction, making sure her feet stay planted on the ground.]

[the loss of his sand armour means he's both lighter and faster than he's at all used to, so he steps out of the way perhaps a little too fast.]

Good. Again.

[Mikoto almost doesn't catch it when he moves, but she does as she is told.]
