Summary: [palette swap] Ordering a present for Anya: a day's wait at in the lobby. Realising you've got a camera just in time for everyone to go multicoloured: priceless.

[Gino is just wandering around the campus, camera in hand, taking photos of everyone for posterity. There's already several of him, in several fetching shades of blue, so you're not alone. Say cheese, he's just snapped a shot of you!]

Suzaku nodded slowly still feeling awkward and guilty. "Well he's not here," he finally said sounding as guilty as he felt. It just reminded him that Gino had forgotten most of what he had done and when he remembered he would not be friendly with Suzaku at all. Suzaku felt like he was taking his friendship dishonestly when really Gino had so many reasons to hate him.

"Good thing, too," he mused, catching the other boy's tone and reacting to it predictably - with unwanted physical contact. His hand came down on Suzaku's shoulder like a thunderclap, and he leaned in to grin at him. "Man, it's okay. I'll fight him off if he gets past Six. You can take the Tristan. It's faster than the Lancelot by miles, there's no way he'll catch you."

That sorted, he gave Suzaku an additional pat and a slight shake.

Suzaku winced slightly at the contact and decided he couldn't cope with the lying to Gino anymore. Even though he knew that Gino's memory would be wiped almost immediately he could not lie to him anymore, it wasn't fair on Gino. Suzkau hated the fact that Gino was being so nice to him when he had every reason to hate him and want to kill him.

He didn't deserve Gino's friendship when he had done so much wrong. He didn't even deserve to live. There was nothing he could do in this world anyways, his and Lelouch's plan had failed the moment they had been kidnapped and brought to this world. The world was probably destroyed by now, Schneizel had probably won, probably destroyed everything with Damocles.

"Gino," he braced himself for the inevitable anger. With the taller knight's hand on his shoulder it was dangerous, even with the memory loss, there would be a moment where Gino would know what Suzaku had done and be angry. But that was alright, Suzaku deserved to die for what he had done and so it would be no loss if Gino managed to kill him before he forgot what Suzaku had done.

"The knight of one, he is dead... I killed him," he met Gino's eyes making himself see the inevitable anger and continued in a tiny whisper, "I betrayed Britannia, I joined Lelouch, I killed them..."

"What're you talking about? No one can kill that guy--" Memories snapped into place and Gino's smile faltered, his hand tensing painfully against Suzaku's collarbone as he felt a familiar anger. That was weird. He wanted to hurt the other knight... But why? He'd killed... In the moment of confusion, his mind clouded over. His grip relaxed again, and his smile returned. "Don't joke like that. He'll show up if we keep talking about him like this."

Suzaku braced himself and forced himself to watch the anger that brushed over Gino's face. But it was gone as soon as it appeared and Suzaku nodded at his words, he had tried at least but this place wouldn't let Gino remember.

"I... should get going, me and Sora are going to train," they were, it wasn't a lie. But he wasn't meant to be meeting her for an hour, he wanted to be alone til then though. Feeling guilty he started to walk off.
