Location: Main Courtyard, Tournament Stadium
Time of day: Afternoon.
Special Rules: One Weapon or set of Weapons per battle; Players may not leave the stadium.

[the announcement rings through the campus all morning, on the half-hour: Can all participating Players report to the Tournament Stadium for midday with their chosen Weapons. The event will begin at twelve twenty-five for all other students.

Yes, that's right, the Tournament Stadium. During the early morning of Day 1, the staff were hard at work constructing a stadium in the main courtyard. There's raised seating for all students, and a large open-air ring for the participants. There's more than enough space even for fliers, and a number of raised areas, stairs and chest-high walls to make battles more interesting. At the end of the stadium is a large screen showing the ring from above.]

Suzaku sat down feeling a little less worried now she hadn't screamed at him or told him to go away. "I've been alright, how about you?"

He looked around the stadium, it was strange that it had been built overnight just for this tournament, "I didn't expect to see you here, I thought you disliked the fighting here." Of course he did too, but the Black Knight pilot had refused to fight and even now Suzaku knew she had agreed to fight to help everyone leave this place he did not think she was someone to come and watch a tournament.

"The same, I guess." Well things between her and Sulu was less awkward, so that had to be better in some sort of way. Let's just go with that she's feeling alright and not avoidant.

"I do, but I need to fight. And just because I am doesn't mean I have to like it." She tapped the pen she's holding against the notebook in her lap. "I'm taking notes. Anyone who fights today has the potential to be my opponent in the future. I just want to be prepared."

Suzaku nodded quietly and glanced at the pen and paper, it seemed a strange thing to be doing just to keep a record for those who might have to fight her in the future. The pilot didn't seem to be someone who usually planned ahead, unless... "Oh are you a player this round?"

Not being able to remember her name made things difficult, he thought of the list of players again and tried to match the girls face to the names, but none of them seemed to fit.

"I am," she confirmed, side glancing at him. He should have known that... until she remembered that well, he couldn't remember her name. "I'm not fighting until tomorrow though."

Ah, Suzaku nodded, so her name was not any of the ones that was flashing up on the screan at the end of the stadium. "Who are you fighting tomorrow?" This was more so that he could work out what her name was.

"Shoryu I believe."

"Shoryu?" Suzaku blinked, "He's my player," he looked at the list of matches for the tournament.

"Kallen Kozuki," he said when he found her name. He forogt it the moment he looked up from the paper though and sighed.

"I see..." Kallen said softly, turning to the notebook in her lap. But she didn't get to keep her gaze there for long. When Suzaku said her name, she looked in his direction.

Suzaku nodded but when she turned to look at him he looked at her blankly. He had said something hadn't he, he could not remember what it was. He just sat silently staring out into the tournament ring.

She shrugged it off and turned her attention to the field. There were notes to be taken and the like.
