Plastic Tubes and Pots and Pans

Location: THE LAB actually it's just a workroom he's taken over but shut up
Summary: Lloyd's been scarce around the campus since the round change! Because he's been working in his new lab or whatever.
Warnings: lloydness.

[One of the once-empty school workrooms -- one with an outside facing door rather than it being connected inwardly to a hall -- has had it's windows taped over entirely. One of the double doors has a doorstop (that is, a rock) wedged between them to let some air in and from that crack in the door, light is visible.

Past the doors? The room looks like it got hit by a whirlwind of junk. The worktables are covered with all sorts of scrap parts and wires pilfered and dismantled from whatever device could go missing without too much notice. The entire lighting setup has been changed and that's terribly obvious, because the person who changed it hasn't put the ceiling tiles back in place yet. A computer has found it's way from the computer lab to what should have been the teacher's desk. A second one is partially pulled apart nearby.

And so on and so on. What a mess.

Lloyd is at the desk as well, crouched over whatever it is he's working on, a lamp that's been attached to the desktop pulled down close to keep it well lit.]

[Romeo was far too curious for his own good, when he saw a propped open door he had to peek in it, just to see what was there. And what was there made his eyes open so wide and he took a big step backwards. He had stumbled into a witches cave! Apart from witches used magic and people here used technology, which to Romeo's eyes was the same thing.

Could you even call a technology witch a witch? He spotted the man and shuffled backwards again, he looked like a witch! Romeo could imagine him flying a broomstick! Even though in his stories only girls were witches he was pretty sure boys could be too. This man looked exactly like a witch.

Time to get out of here, Romeo tried to simultaneously step backwards and turn around and ended up falling to the floor with a crash.]

[Lloyd is a witch now? Certainly isn't the worst thing he's had thought of him, though he's more likely to fly around on a giant airship than on a broomstick.

The sound of Romeo's fall draws his attention away from his work and he looks towards the doors. What was that?

Oh hey. A kid.]

Well hello! [He smiles at Romeo.] Try not to break anything over there. I had trouble enough getting all of this stuff here, I don't want to have to replace anything already. It'd be a tragedy!

[Oh no the witch spotted him! Romeo scrambled to his feet and blinked at the witch in fear.] I won't break anything, sir! [Do you call witches sir? He hasn't been turned into a frog yet, that's a good sign but he should probably get out of here. Then again, turning your back on a witch was an even worse idea!]

[The fact that Romeo was afraid of him didn't quite connect with Lloyd.]

That's good to know.

[Aaand he kept watching the boy after that. Romeo couldn't turn around to escape with the 'witch' watching and Lloyd wasn't going to look away until the boy left in case he got up to some shenanigans after all.

So.

Looks like it's a staring contest now.]

[Romeo's eyes widened as he realised he was trapped. He could try and walk backwards to the door but there was mag...technology instruments everywhere. The witch would be so mad if he broke them and who knew what they did?]

What are you doing here sir? [Well that was stupid, Romeo kicked himself the moment he talked, if the witch thought he was being nosy he could boil him or feed him to his goblin. A quick look round to see if he could spot said Goblin and then back to the witch.]

[Lloyd? Get mad? Nah, rage isn't really his thing, but Romeo doesn't know that.]

Hhm? [He looked down at his little project, then back at the boy again, smile never wavering.] This thing? Nothing more than a toy. Rather harmless, really!

[Unless it explodes. It might explode. Hey, that's what testing is for, right?]

It doesn't look like a toy... [Toys are for little children, and this looks too much like witchcraft to Romeo. Is there even such a thing as harmless witchcraft.]

What does it do? [Curiosity really did kill the cat, and small chimney sweeps as well! Another quick glance around in case the goblin was about to descend on him and then back to the witch, not letting him out of his sight.]

...compared to what I normally work on...

[Yeah, this little thing is most definitely a toy.]

If it works like it's supposed to, it'll be able to... [How do you explain this to a small thing? He'll just sum it up as simply as possible.] It will be able to break machines.

[Suspicious look from the small thing. Breaking things is not a very nice thing to do, especially when they are other peoples things- and theres no point in breaking your own things. Romeo isn't even sure what a 'machine' is, but he's assuming something technologyical]

Why would you want to break things?

[The question gets such a blank look, let me tell you. ]

To see what happens?

[The blank look is met with a blank look.]

But... they break, and then you can't use them anymore and who ever owns them is sad. That's what happens! [He's not sure why he's having this conversation with a witch, but it was such a silly statement!]

So?

[SHRUG. He doesn't see why people being sad should matter. It isn't like they can't simply fix what he breaks. Usually.]

So! [Witch or no witch, goblin about to eat him or not Romeo is getting mad now!]

So it's not nice to make people sad! And you shouldn't break things that don't belong to you! How would you like it if someone broke your technology things! [Angry gestures at the room full of equipment]

[D'aw. Why are children so naive? That's adorable.]

I wouldn't like it, but I wouldn't get sad over it.

[His smile is back, though somehow it doesn't seem as... friendly... as before.]

I'd get even~.

[Romeo frowns, why are witches so nasty? That's scary!]

So aren't you scared? That whoever the machines belong to will get mad and come and fight you?

Should I be?

[He'll be scared while they enact revenge, but not before! That's just too far off in the distance right now. He leans back over the little machine he's putting together and gets back to work.]

Hmm. I imagine they will at some point, but I've never let threats stop me from my work in the past. I'm not about to start now.

[So he's not scared and he doesn't care about making people sad! Definatly a villain! Romeo frowns again]

But what if they wreck your technology because you wrecked theres, and then you want to get even but you've already wrecked theres and then... [Bigger frown]

Alfredo always says that revenge is silly, you just shouldn't do bad things in the first place! [And it really is that easy!]

[Lloyd Asplund: Genius, Villain, Witch. He's going to need new business cards once he sorts this Utopia mess out.]

Then we both rebuild and wreck each other's stuff all over again. It's just war. [As if that was such an insignificant concept...] Would you be so against it if it turned out I was breaking things that belonged to people worse than myself?

[Romeo's eyes go wider, there were worse witches out there? And war? War was bad! War was in the books Alfredo read and was really bad! People died in wars, lots of people!]

No one should break things, you should all just be nice to each other! But maybe if they were worse than you and they started it... [He guessed this was like the Wolf Pack and the Black Brothers. Sometimes the Black Brothers had to fight and do bad things but the Wolf Pack started it by being bullies, and when they had broke into the kings palace to stop Alfredo's evil uncle. Bigger frown]

How bad are they?

[This kid is officially the best entertainment he's found here since arriving. The scientist leans back in his chair and makes a sweeping gesture with a hand, as if to use the area itself as his example. Of course, he means the entire campus, not just the workroom.]

Bad enough to kidnap a bunch of kids and make them fight. [Which probably only puts them, like, a peg or two higher than him but...] Which is something I'd never do~!

[It is fun to watch, though! 8D]

[A frown, oh yes, them! Mei and Lyra had told him that they had been kidnapped and since they all claimed they had no reason to be here he had to believe them. He didn't like to think that he had been kidnapped, but if he had been then the people keeping him were definatly bad. Had this witch been kidnapped as well? No you couldn't kidnap witches, they'd just fly away. But he was the bad peoples enemies, did that make him a good person? Romeo leant in looking in a conspiritating way.]

Are you those bad peoples enemy? [Maybe he could help them escape, after all he was a witch, he was bound to be able to help...If he was good...]

Enemy is such a strong word... [He leans back in over the device he's been working on and continues where he left off.] But yes. I am.

[Well that was sort of good, because kidnappers were bad and so an enemy of a kidnapper had to be good right? Romeo gave a small smile]

Can any of your technology help us get out of here? [Still in a quiet voice, still a little wary]

[Lloyd. Good. Suuuure, we'll go with that for now.]

Not yet, but that's certainly the goal I'll be working towards.

[In a kind of meandering way, sort of. He needs to find out how this fabulous system works first~.]
