[Round 3, ongoing] Treasure Hunt Exchange

Characters: All
Format: Any
This log is: open
Location: The lobby
Summary: Exchange treasures for clues here! Or just chat to the staff or mingle.

[throughout the week, the receptionists are fairly into their roles as 'sages', putting on mystical voices when appropriate and generally being helpful to friendlier students. Other than that, there isn't much to note about the lobby. Students wishing to exchange treasures for the next clue should come here.]

Enki hands in the third riddle after dinner on the third day.

(Managing to not look guilty over the large clock, which Shoryu had handed to him as he came in for dinner just as Enki had been looking up at the clock in the dining hall and wondering where the idiot was, and realized what the clue/riddle referred to.)

This particular riddle stumped Enki and took Shoryu another day, so it was only on the morning of the fourth day that they wandered on over to the lobby.

"It would be far simpler if they had chosen riddles suited to all worlds. Well, at least for the students."
choseanidiot: (absolutely - do you believe this?)

IC and trolling!

"Tell me about it," Enki said with a roll of his eyes; basically, they'd only been able to come this far since Enki was able to draw on his references from Hourai from his visits. Had he not been invested in Hourai, one way or another, there just wouldn't have been a frame of reference to understand, say, the clock riddle.

"So what's the answer to this one? You still haven't told me, you know." Enki frowned narrowly up at Shōryū, wondering why the man had simply said that he'd 'got it' and that they should go to the lobby. He'd dodged or flat out refused ('wait until we get there, I thought patience was a virtue kirin encompassed?') to say anything.

And that spelled trouble to Rokuta. Nothing dangerous or unpleasant, most surely, but the sort of trouble that would amuse Shōryū.

And this, then, set off Enki's internal alarms.

"It's something simple. We should have no problems obtaining the next clue." How helpful. Shōryū added a faint smile, which promptly widened into something less ominous as they reached the desk.

"Good morning. My Player would like to give you the next treasure."

The receptionist nodded, and leant over the desk to smile at Enki.

"And what's your answer?"

"A hug, I believe. Presumably given by the Player, as usual... Enki, if you would?"
choseanidiot: (disguise - say what)

"A--- Wait, what?" Enki had been frowning at Shōryū at the most current dodge, mostly ignoring the receptionist for the moment, until... that.

"Do I look like Taiki? Or Sourin?" Enki snapped, giving the perfectly gentle-looking and sweetly-behavioured receptionist a side-long glance, thoroughly uncomfortable. It wasn't that physical affection bothered him per say, it just wasn't his thing.

But that phrasing... and tone of voice... Well, he could either draw this out, have a tantrum, or make sure it was over as quickly as possible. Giving Shōryū a good glare, Enki jumped up to sit on the desk, leaned over and, as quickly as possible, gave the receptionist a hug.

Immediately, he jumped down and backed off, hands behind his head and leaning back on his heels.

"What's the next one?"
