[throughout the week, the receptionists are fairly into their roles as 'sages', putting on mystical voices when appropriate and generally being helpful to friendlier students. Other than that, there isn't much to note about the lobby. Students wishing to exchange treasures for the next clue should come here.]

Romeo glanced at Sherlock before giving a brave smile and clambering up onto the counter. It was strange to hug a complete stranger but he wanted to get the next clue and it was the answer so he was sure the receptionist wouldn't mind. He wrapped his arms around her neck in a clumsy hug and then jumped down.

He felt sad though, because the only person who ever hugged him was his mother, this receptionist wasn't his mother. His mother wasn't here. Romeo's hands shook for just a second before he looked up brave and smiling.

No! He wasn't a child anymore, he had survived his time as a chimney sweep and he would get through this as well! He didn't need his mother and he shouldn't be sad.

That decided he gave a big, completely genuine smile. "Can we have the next clue please?"
