Returning memories

Location: Lelouch's dorm room
Summary: Lelouch gets some memories back and finds out that yes, he can have the wool pulled over his eyes more than once.
Warnings: Maniacal laughter.

Impatient was an understatement. After the recent round of conflicts with Gino following his recovered memories, Lelouch was determined to regain his own. So he actually started going to class, and participating, flawlessly answering the teachers' questions to gather together some tokens. He wouldn't have been adverse to battling for them, but there weren't any Players this round that could fight and that he could trust. So he chose this route. It was a useful expedient, at least.

So he led Suzaku into his dorm, and he took a seat at the edge of his bed. Suzaku had told him about what had happened to Gino, so doing this here seemed the best option. He reached into his pocket, and pulled out a small bundle twisted up in a handkerchief. He opened it up into his palm, and looked at them. One of these stood a good chance at being the missing pieces that Gino held over him. Or maybe them both together. "If I look like I'm going to pass out, don't let me drop them," he instructed Suzaku. The last thing he wanted was to have to do it twice.

It did eventually pass, and Lelouch's fist that had curled around the charm unfurled. He took it in his other hand and attached it to his bracelet at the opposite end of the line of charms from where he'd placed Nunnally's. Then he looked up, a dangerous, smirking look on his face. But it wasn't directed at Suzaku. It would have been truly dangerous for a certain blond boy.

"Rolo never has been my brother," he stated. He remembered now, being held down before the emperor by a member of the Knight of Rounds, one eye covered, the other held open, to accept his memory modifications. He stood, still appearing to be on the edge of a dark madness. He pushed a chunk of hair from in front of his face, and lowered his hand again. "I will have to thank him later for his due diligence." For the moment, he was the demon that he would make his people fear.

And then all at once the madness passed, the fogginess and confusion began to lift from Suzaku's mind and he watched as Lelouch clipped the memory charm calmly to his bracelet.

Suzaku frowned, going cold. He knew that Rolo wasn't Lelouch's brother, he had known that Lelouch had forgotten that because of the way he had acted around Rolo when he had been here. Rolo had just been a scheme, sent in to control Lelouch after...

After what? Why would Lelouch had a false sibling, mist flooded Suzaku's mind again and he tried to shake it away. He had never cared for Rolo at all but seeing the look on Lelouch's face he was suddenly glad that the young assasain had disapeared from this school.

He stayed quiet though, just nodded once.

He ran a hand down the front of his uniform to smooth it again. His look returned to something resembling his usual bored aloofness. He returned Suzaku's nod. "We need to return to our mission of bringing this program down. I want to begin by gaining access to that building that is boarded in the center of the campus. Speak to Ms. Himoto or any of the young ladies in her care and find out what they know. They will be invaluable in our efforts."

Suzaku watched as Lelouch calmed down, it was just another reason they had to get out of here. To get out and finish Zero Requiem, to stop these things happening. He ignored the fuzz and concentrated on what Lelouch was saying. Suzaku nodded, though he was not sure how useful Sora would be when it came to knowing what buildings were. After all he wasn't certain that this school was laid out in the same way as her old one, she was forever getting lost.

But it would not hurt to try, Suzaku nodded. "Yes my lord."
