He'd slept uneventfully, only occasionally getting a bit restless in his sleep. Once or twice he could be clearly heard mutering Nunnally's name during one of these fits. But eventually, early in the morning, he finally woke up. His eyes blinked open, and he raised a hand to his forehead. He remembered keenly the searing pain as the laser had hit him, and it seemed a significant portion of that pain still remained.

He pushed himself up with his other hand, and looked around the room, expecting to see Suzaku with him. "Has it been three days?" he asked, his voice a little rough.

Suzaku had barely moved from his post at the side of Lelouch's bed since he had arrived. At one point the nurses had ordered him to go and get showered and to eat and he had obeyed in a sort of numb, not caring manner. But since then he'd been here.

When he felt brave he snuck over to check on Enki, but for the most part he was avoiding Shoryu. This was all his fault, that they were injured, that they might not wake up.

Others had visited, Nunnally had been here a lot, but she had gone... somewhere... Suzaku hadn't really been concentrating. But the moment he saw Lelouch stir he was on his feet, "He's awake!" He called out of the door and then was back at Lelouch's side.

He nodded and then wasn't sure how well Lelouch could see, "Just about," his voice was almost breaking from relief, "you have to lie down, the doctor will be here in a moment."
